She looks naked lol, trusting the process again.

Would it be helpful at all to put some of the mycorrhizal powder on top of the soil around the plant before I water again?

A friend of mine just harvested this plant..it's his first plant. He said he took her because he was gonna have frost last night and he got worried, he didn't check the trichomes because he didn't know to but this made me curious...does a first frost hurt cannabis?

We had our first frost a few days ago. There was slushy frost on my cars that morning. The two plants that are in the ground didn’t miss a beat though.

TA DA!!!! Looks way more open aye? Good job. Keep peaking under them leaves. If it's in the way of a lot of lower growth remove it. Those exposed sites will pop up pretty quickly now. New leaf will regenerate fast.

I look at early leaf removal as a sort of training. It is a manipulation so it's training to me. The main goal is to develop those lower branches. They will sport some big colas and produce a lot of branches with more colas.

Wow what a difference that made just overnight. I'll let the branches grow a little longer before I start guiding the new growth.

Took @Flower advice and got rid of the bottom leaf touching the soil too.

Also I noticed and I'm assuming because of how young I started training she grew an anchor to keep her rooted or it's just an anomaly.

Ya got a lot of growth quickly. Exactly what your trying to do.. awesome.

That's pretty common for them to kick out some root at the base. That main stem is looking healthy. They seem to always get fat when you train early. Builds a nice sturdy base.

If ya want them to speed up switch to 24hr light or go 20/4. It doesn't hurt them to run full blast in veg. Now that we have cooler temps I run 20/4 in veg. When starting clones or seed I run 24hr light.

I've been wondering, why do you take clones in flower? Wouldn't it be easier to take them in the veg stage?

One look at a regenerated flowering clone and you know you've got something special. Something not many folks tinker with.

The benefits are in the pic. Multiple mature branching is my goal. For every new leaf comes a new branch and there will be many.

Compare this to a normal clone and it's pretty much a no brainer. Is it worth the extra steps? Yes!

You can not top plants to achieve this level of branching. Only these clones can make that happen.

I see what you mean, I figured there was a good reason for it. Interesting stuff

My mentor. An old Australian guy taught me this when I first started. Once I saw how well these clones and screen go together I never turned back.

I bought that small 2x3 tent with a plan in mind. I want to use it to reveg my cuts. Get a little surplus of clones in there. Ready to go for the next few generations.

Once you grow one you'll understand why I do it. I can guarantee more buds and a bigger plant if you do it properly.

Growers just dunno what they are missing..lol

Feel like the ball is starting to pick up some speed, still just a pile of leafs but I think it was around this time that my sour diesel plant started to gain momentum too. Might need to do a little more trimming soon

To speed things up ya can run 20/4. Remove more leaf and open it up a little. Them branches will pop out quick.

Removing leaf in early stage does not slow growth or stunt anything. It just brings new growth forward faster.

To me it's just another training method so often overlooked or misunderstood.

She looks very healthy.

I'm not super worried about the light, try to save some power where I can I guess. I'll give her another day or two till I water again before taking any more off.

She is looking good isn't she? So far she looks pretty much like the sour diesel did. I think I like this soil and it's available at my local Walmart.

I can really start to see the outline of how I want her to shape up but I'd still like guidance on it as the branches get going like when to put the screen on and such.

As always I appreciate your suggestions and feedback and just general knowledge man

Your on the right path. Take what is suggested and make your own way. Lots of nice bud coming with that approach.

You stick with what works and don't sway from that decision. So many out there get caught up in the latest greatest way to grow. Avoiding that mess you increase your odds of success.

When a grower starts to make statements of..I hope this works, or I think this will work. Well, that's not a very confident message and odds are already down to 50/50 for a chance to succeed.

Staying with simple proven methods is the only way to go for new guys and you do that.

Im just trying to stick to the basics I definitely don't know what I'm doing just following what I've seen and fox farms is a pretty simple recipe and seems to be working for me.

Unrelated but in school I was a terrible student and I would skip all the time even went to court for truancy...in 6th grade I had a 7 as an overall average for the year. My highest grade that year was like 21. I mean a really bad student struggled and didn't care. The only subject that I was interested in and did well in was biology and earth science. I like plants always have just never had a chance to grow anything till now

Today is different aye? Ya can focus on things you care about. Like growing. Ya definitely don't need a degree to grow weed. Just an open mind and a drive to learn.

Remember where ya came from but never dwell on it. We improve as we age. Seems stupid it goes like that but it does.
