I thought it came with age, lol.

Does it seem they have been the dirt long enough to poke through ?
If you read the 1st comment on this thread when i started it, you'll see it was the afternoon of the 29th. Today is the 2nd.
it's been 4 days in the dirt, however, if you look at the photo's the sprouts were small and maybe its taking longer to poke through ?

So i checked the quicksillver seed in water and its dead.
The shell is soft and falling apart.
If there has to be a bright side i would say its easier to grow only 1 strain instead of several.
The Poison Dwarfs have not broken ground yet and the 3 others are still in water and one looks like its ready to sprout.

Kinda bummed so far.........

Ahh crap man! Sigh, I think I know whats going on. You got the seeds to pop a small white tail, correct? Then you planted them into the dirt, how deep? It happens to everyone, and it's a learning experience. When you germ seeds, ime, you need to let the tail/root grow about an inch. Then when you plant them, you want to have them just barely under the dirt. I use a pencil or simular to poke a small root length hole into the dirt, then plant so that the seed head is almost out of the dirt.

Nothing yet sprouting from the dirt.

The quicksilver feminized seed stiil has not sprouted in the paper towel.
I picked up the seed and gave it a little pinch and heard a little crack, so i decided to go back to the cup method. I put 2" of water in a cup and put the seed into it. It floated and would not sink even when i poked it with my finger.
Little air bubbles came out of the seed.

I hope these seeds are going to sprout as i invested money i really did'nt have betting on this too work.
Oh well, it would'nt be the 1st time in life things went aray.

Seeds that float and refuse to sink are dried up inside and dead, that is why your got the 'pop'

I planted them only 1/8" deep, but the sprouts were not an inch, only about 2-3mm. ( SEE PICS IN 1ST COMMENT )

Some people say you can plant straight into dirt without germinating, i fiqured it was ok to plant the seeds since they did sprout.

Are you saying they wont grow now?

Should i move some dirt around and see if i can see the seed and what its doing?

i REALLY CANT afford to lose the 50.00 bucks and start over.!

I just checked the seeds in the dirt by uncovering the dirt till i saw them.
All dried up and dead! ALL 4 of my Poison Dwarf.!

I am extremly depressed. i feel like a stupid *** and an incompatant.
I'm ready to quit as it seems im too stupid to even grow weed.

my wife is ALREADY pissed at this "adventure" and only went along with it because i told her it would SAVE money.

50.00 in seeds in the trash and wasted electricity and 50.00 in FFOF wasted !

I'm such a failure...................

Hang in there man, you just had a little set back. Go sell a few craigslist items and get another 50 bucks for another attempt. I will document my experiece with the same autos, hopefully I can make them grow and give you some confidense in the strain. And fwiw, I've pissed away way more money on seeds and ended up in your shoes, it's nothing to get to upset about because in the long run you can end up with way more weed than your initial investment.

I germinate in Rapid Rooters--they hold a good water to oxygen ratio. I germ in wet paper towels and when the seed has popped, I plant. The seeds do not have a lot of stored energy and I never wait until they have a 1" tail before planting. If the seeds were dried up, was your medium dry?

Yeah the medium was dry.
What i did was take the seeds from the cup on the right in the pic ,top of the thread, plant them in the FFOF soil and spray them lightly twice a day with a spray bottle and left them under the T5 lights.

Now i have 3 germinating in a cup and 2 have sprouted.
i put the last 3 in another cup with water.

Thats where i'm at, but i think i might just quit while im ahead.?
I don't know yet.

Use a Lowryder male and try to make some autos with those freebes.

Bagseed plants are looking good though.

BTW. What did you use for the knot I know the wife put on your head? Some use steak because it has some knot reducing abilities. But I like the frozen veggies myself.

As i'm reading this i'm hearing it from her!
She thinks the whole frigin DEA is coming here, and wants me to throw them away. ( she doesnt smoke ).
FOR 5 FREAKIN PLANTS, which as i stated many times is ONLY a class d misdeminor, and 21 to 100 plants is a class E misdeminor.
You need 101 or more to be a felony.

hey,king ; sorry to hear about your last beans. Im sure it was a lesson well learned, the hard way. I'n had that happen to me also it really does blow but i too got back on that horse and let him know who was boss. all the green mojo i have is heading your way with next batch.
