I just planted a solo cup challenge just now actually, it's a "Donates inferno" it was a random in some dispensary weed. It' went straight in the tent it's gonna be 12/12 from the start in the solo cup but no I haven't started anything in my little veg space yet..

interested in how this turns out. Are you allowed to modify the solo cup like holes and such?

Just feed it like ya would any other plant...obviously you'll water more often so try to feed them at least once a week.

Ya got it in flower already? I would. Throw the bloom stuff at it.

No she's not flowering yet it was just a thought for future reference, still not feeding it anything

I put holes in the cup yeah but I'm just trying to get it through flower in the cup and 12/12 from seed

Check out this concept i seen in a fb group. Isolating a branch for flowering. Why idk kinda looks like a lot going on with the plant almost bonsai situation but still thought it was interesting

What I paid attention to are the light bulbs they used. Those appear to be off the shelf bulbs like you use in home lighting. See the bud in flower that one says 8W with a 5K spectrum which would be a 100 watt output at about a 6-7 inch distance producing that size bud is interesting. The light above the side of the plant in veg seems to be two bulbs for a total of 15 watts also 5K spectrum for two 100 watt outputs side by side.

If it is it means you can separate a branch and flower it independent of the other side. It is interesting but I also wonder if it's real.

Could be useful when trying to determine sex but the branches would have to be long enough to be isolated so probably not very useful or practical. If this picture is real it was probably done just to say they did

What throws me is the fact that the chemicals in the plant....the whole plant flip to flower stage when the plant gets that 12hrs darkness.

Nothing useful of this method really. Odd to think a plant could be in flower n veg at the same time. Interesting but outta my wheelhouse of understanding.

I mean botanist have done crazier things but it's definitely different. Who knows maybe they had a good reason for it but it was probably just to generate likes, comments and shares and it seems to be working for that. I even fell into the trap

That's a good point, hmm interesting but then again if you think about graphing a plant you can have two completely different strains or fruit coming for the same plant

So I'm starting to notice some frost on the critical Kush also she's getting almost a tangerine type smell if you lean in close or brush up against the buds. I tried to trim her up and open some light up but she is so tightly packed together. I'm gonna have to take the screen out and really try to open some stuff up but that's gonna be a process or I just let her keep doing her thing

The Dante's inferno still has no signs of preflowers or balls, which is starting to make me wander if it is an auto.

The fruity widow is still very small but is above ground but looks like a decent seedling

Thanks I've gotten better at water/feeding them recently. I did find some yellow leafs on the critical Kush tucked inside but I think it's because she's so densely packed in

The Dante's inferno still has no signs of flower so I'm thinking it's an auto flower...this is gonna mess up my plans come harvest time for the critical Kush. I was hoping to dry them both in the tent at the same time. The Dante's inferno should have been flowering by now...guess I'll have to find somewhere else to dry it but I have the fruity widow seed also that should be well into veg at that point in my closet idk what I'm gonna do

I'd give it a little more time. It should take over 2-3weeks to show. It's a immature plant not really ready for flower but when nature or you flips the lights the flowering will happen..auto or photo.

A buddy of mine does the 12/12 from seed. First two weeks he uses 24/7 then flips. Takes a few weeks to show. Yours will prob show withing 3 wks.
