THE DIRT

I bought mine from a Hydro Store in Florida when i lived there.
My local hardware store carries Pro Mix but I think it is BX maybe. Last time I bought it for my vegetable garden maybe 10 years ago it was like $35 a bag. Pricey stuff but I live in a yuppie area…

Walmart, it's says each 1 ft. bag is 2 cubic feet.

I use compost soil. Add worm castings and magnesium! That’s it!
Me, too. Compost consists of grass clippings, maple leaves, and a little chicken manure (little, 'cause the 'yotes ate my flock), and top coated with wood ash during the flowering cycle.

Whatever you do don't use this because this **** is just chock-full of fungus gnats. Every time I water my seedlings it produces more gnats. Did not have that with my last soil which was Miracle-Gro but it was the vegetable and Herb mix.
