I bought mine from a Hydro Store in Florida when i lived there.

My local hardware store carries Pro Mix but I think it is BX maybe. Last time I bought it for my vegetable garden maybe 10 years ago it was like $35 a bag. Pricey stuff but I live in a yuppie area…

Me, too. Compost consists of grass clippings, maple leaves, and a little chicken manure (little, 'cause the 'yotes ate my flock), and top coated with wood ash during the flowering cycle.

^^^That's for my outside grows. Wouldn't bring it inside. I grow water weed inside.

Whatever you do don't use this because this shit is just chock-full of fungus gnats. Every time I water my seedlings it produces more gnats. Did not have that with my last soil which was Miracle-Gro but it was the vegetable and Herb mix.

I use MG Twice As Big and haven't had any problems. Haven't seen gnats since I stopped using FF soils.

I grab a few Bags Myself ,mixed half in starter soil and the little guys are doing great
