After the Advance nute stuff is added in, my ph, is around 5.8 or so from their buffers.

So you add "up" to raise to 6.2? I've been letting it go at the 5.8 which I think is my problem

This Promix is different, or so it seems to me than "regular hydro", where roots are hanging in liquid. 5.8 may be great for that, but maybe a touch low for promix?

Pute, if you adjust up from 5.8-5.9ish, that may be it.

Still a bit confused with the promix vs hydro, hydro seems to like the lower (5.9) ph, it also seems to be fine with nutes in solution at all times, where promix, sort of like regular soil needs the nutes only every third time? I'll have to ask him about that, he is the hydro guru!

5.8 is fine. In soiless medium 5.5 to 6.5 is in the zone. I am careful with starts....6.2.

Yep, they do. My well water is rich in calcium and I add "foot soak" for magnesium.
Never could see the reason for RO in my situation. Why remove stuff just to put it back in?
That is a good point. Before I got my r/o system I used tap water that had sat overnight to let some chlorine dissipate and there is no difference in my plants. The only reason I use my r/o system is because I paid for it so I use it.

Ph out of faucet is 8+ where I am. Ro comes out 6.8 ish.....if you saw and smelled what is left iny distiller, you would not consume tap water. I don't feed that trash to my pets.

And I don't drink Kool aid....dogster. Also do you use r/o water. You must us tap because plants need calcium and magnesium. If you don't add it they are getting it somewhere........
Weird how that actually works..........straight tap water.
Here it's well water in fl. it was city water.
Now lets talk about why you are adjusting cannabis specific ferts.........that's the real conversation.

Those links show the chemical contents of jacks pro, perlite and peat.
Also shows why it works and that the assumptions being made regards "cal-mag" are just that.........assumptions.

Easy. They are designed for hydro, not so much promix. Mystery solved!

Buy those ingredients, remove cal and mag by leaving them out. Proceed....your assumption will fall apart?

Well there you go.....I don't use Jack S-hit....oh I. Mean Jacks...ha ha!

The other reason is, I have money, and full well intend to spend every cent before I go!

Sam's club always tries to talk me into saving money by getting their credit card. I tell them the same thing and ask if they have one that costs more? Usually have the line is cracking up!
