Woke up this morning to the canopy collapsed on all 3 plants. Snapped 2 of them apart. One seems in tact. All three are close to harvest, but was giving them a little more time. Problem being, they are all soaked. Haven't had any mold problems yet, but they have been dry. What should I do? If I harvest them all now and they are all wet? The canopy collapsed on top of them so they didn't get soaked with rain all night, but they are definitely wet. Is there a way I can try to dry them off? Harvested or not? One didn't snap, and I think will be ok if I can dry it off to prevent mold. Or should I just chop all 3? This SUCKS!!!!! :hairpull: Please, any advise!

I had one plant that split in haft. I took bailing twine and tied her back together. That was over a mo. ago and she's fine and still flowering strong. If they have more time to grow untill harvest hook em' up again. Use tape or what ever works best for your plant(s).

The mold is my main concern. The one that snapped the worst is over 6 ft tall, and there's not really any way I can tie it back up with all the weight that is above the snapping point midway down. All 3 are all cloudy with a random amber here or there on the buds, so it isn't too early. Was planning to take them just a bit more though. Any thoughts on drying them off to prevent mold? Right now its still off and on rain and in the 60's.

I don't outdoor grow but I wld chop the broken ones and get them back to some place dry with good air flow where you can hang them up. Maybe get a fan blowing gently across them?

yeah Im with hammy...take the broken ones inside..Ive used a hair drier on the cool setting to blow off excess water...then Hang in room with temps upper 70s for a day or so...useing a asculateing fan for air movement...Dam shame to wake to something like that..salvage what ya can and fix the canopy

take care and be safe

Damn near needed the jaws of life to get the canopy off the plants without doing more damage. It rained SO hard last night I kept worrying about them. So 2 of the plants are fine. Got them under the 3' eve of the house. Rigged a quick setup with 2 poles at an angle and some heavy duty plastic to act like an awning. The big one is snapped in a ton of spots. No salvaging the top half. Just lopped it off. Managed to tie up all lower branches (some were snapped, but I think they'll be ok). Totally bummed right now :( Got it moved under the ghetto awning too. Hopefully can salvage something out of it. And hopefully no mold. It's been raining wicked hard for 10 mins, then stops and blue skies. Then rains and hails for 10 mins, then blue skies. SUCKS!!! All I needed was another week or two... Gonna trim up the snapped branches and get em inside with a fan going. Maybe try the hair dryer to on cool. :(

Trying to stay calm.... Live and learn..... Pretty much a ton of stuff in the hash pile. Dont let your cola branches sag, mid flower. They wont bulk up. Just foxtail airy ** thats useless other than making hash.............. *deep breath* Everythings somewhat under control. Watching closely for any kind of PM or mold. Hopefully can make it another week.... Mold talk has me freaking out on the current dry/cure... My nose sucks, but the wife says its not funcky...

HAHAHA, add to that, re-reading it, I sound crazy. Stoked the current stuff aint showing mold, and that the recently jarred stuff isnt smelling funky :D

sorry to hear it Ston-Hope it all works out bud

Theres some possative..

Happy HArvesting

If they are all cloudy with some amber this is right where I like them. If you did't have mold before they broke you should be fine. Just shake them off get then dry and hang in a dark room with fans and keep room between 60 to 70 deg.s. Keep a eye on them. Wish you the best of luck with them.
