ahh... crazy long question lol...
ok... The roots touching will make no diferance unless they get root bound... if you are growing in soil and they dont have enough room its not good... if your doing hydro and the roots all grow into each other it wont matter at all
most likely, unless you orderd fem seeds, which are more expensive and usually come in less quantity, 5 a pack, they will be mixed seeds... no way to tell if they are male or female seeds... just pop like 4 of them, or all of them if you want and grow them all... if you are going to go to 12/12 soon, like at 3 weeks old maby, then just put them all into 12/12, wate about 2 or 3 weeks, and you will see the male from the female...... if you want to veg your plants for a long time then you can take clones of each plant... mark which clones came from which plants... and then 12/12 the clones just to find out which ones are male and which are female.. this way you can still leave your plants in veg... NOW
this is where you have some choices... you can take clones from some of your females that are in 12/12 and get a crop growing of all females... you can take the best looking clone and make a mother out of her.. or 2 or 3 or 4 mothers if you like.... you can pull all the male plants out of the grow room and have pure seedless bud from the females... or you can leave the males in there and let them all bud togather, in which case you will have lots of seeds in the buds you harvest.... these seeds will be a mix... some male and some female but if you have a bunch it wont matter.... Also you could pull the males and flower them in a seperate room than the females... you could line the top of the pots you are growing in with black plastic, paper, whatever you want... this will catch the pollen that falls from the sacks when they bust... now when you pull the plastic out you can shake the pollen down into a little container and get rid of the male plants..... you take this pollen now to the females and use a damp paintbrush or something else like it to paint the pollen onto the buds/ plants that you want to produce seeds... this way you can get a crop of mostly seedless buds but have one plant or a few buds that are loaded with seeds for you to save for later use.... Also i have heard of people puting the pollen into a damp paper bag and putting the paper bag over a bud and shaking it to get the pollen onto the buds... whatever works for you...
Yes you can feminize seeds and there are a few dif ways people do this... my advice to you on that would be to google "feminize seeds" and you can find out how its done.. not hard
