Are these seeds in the flower?

Please take a look at these pics.
The plant is about 20" tall (late planting) and doing fine. Started BLOOM nutes recently and the thing is shootin up 1/2- 1 inch every couple of days.

Then all of a sudden, these seed looking things started popping out all over.

I dont keep daily pics so I cant tell if these are just flowers that will eventually open or seeds within the flower beginning to pop.

Your thoughts?..........

If I cloned it now would the clones be hermie also?

Hick is correct, a hermie, if its your only plant then let it grow and see if the smoke is worth it at Harvest, if you have other plants, you need to get this he-she out pronto, it will pollinate your other plants.

So I guess since this is my first grow, I choose to let her/him finish out until late Oct and see how the he/she smokes.

This was a bagseed grow and I had to find out the hard way that it pays to buy seed!

Do I need to pull the pollen sacks off if I let her go?

If you pull the pollen sacks off they will grow back, this is a hermie, it will pollinate itself and grow seeds, the seeds are genetically wothless, if you plant the seeds you will grow more hermies, you will need to remove the seeds from the bud when you smoke the harvested plant.

I am not that sure hermies giving you BAD seeds. I did get this one hermie back in 2005 that did infact produce FEMENIZED seeds. I did a little researching. hermies produce femenized seeds , I could be wrong.

FEMENIZED seeds will always later grow into females.

You are... hermies procreate hermies. "GOOD/reputable"..Feminised seeds are made by "chemically reversing" the sex of a female plant...NOT from hermi pollen.

There have been documented grows, right here, from high dollar 'feminised' seeds, that produced males.
Even reading the seed sites descriptions, say they are NOT garaunteed to be all fem's.

Sorry to to hijack this thread but this brings up an interesting point that has been bouncing in my head for a while,
Basically there is no way to get a female seed out of a hermie, so all these people here starting bagseed grows and they are getting females, i did 13 bagseeds and came out with 4 females, Now the question is, isnt the regular weed that people sell on the streets mostly hermies from gorilla grows? i was under the impression that regular weed called RAGS around here was just that, weed grown without proper care and maintenance.. :shocked:

You can still get a female from Hermie plants. But it will carry a predisposition to hermaphrodite. That is why us breeders do not want to get involved with that type of genetics. You will never know when it can/will revert. Not a good scenario.

Now if you have had a fem in flower for a rediclous amount of time,and she pops some bananas,and you are able to get soem pollen that is viable from it, you could pollenate another fem with it,and not be passing a "hermie" prediposition, but it is tricky, and the line between what is a hermie, and what is not is complicated,and you should really do some reading on the subject.

IMHO..
Most "REGS' or "Street" weed with copius amounts of seed, is from poorly cuktivated crops where males weren't removed and "open pollination" was left to occur. A bag of "Bud" "Chronic", "Sensi" that may only contain a single seed or two, is more likely from a herm pollination.
NOW..." all these people here starting bagseed grows and they are getting females"...
"IF"....the seeds are from a hermi pollination, they may well tend to produce "mostly" fem's the first fillia(generation)...but the hermi' gene IS still present, at best, as a recessive trait. And "WILL" in a future generation, rear it's ugly head.
A very respected and reputable breeder once explained hermies to me like this..
"If you leave a plot of "drug quality" mj to go feral, procreate itself, within a few years(generations) they entire crop will revert to hemp"
"Why?..because the Paternal side of the gene pool is dominated by early flowering males and hermophradites"
Leading to the conclusion, that the secret of "improving and maintaining quality cannabis", lies in the recessive traits of "late" flowering males.
..and making the point that hermi's are detrimental to the gene pool of the same..

Look at the hash/ hashoil page.. you maybe able to get some oils from it..

You will get some bud from it but with seeds.. the more seeds the less potent as the production of seeds uses the plants energy.. So less thc production.. but there will be some thc.

Definately pull of the male flowers before they open and make more seeds.. if you have the patience.
