When doing an aero grow.. it is good to have a flush day every res change... or you will have clogged sprayers...... especially on ur 2nd grow.

I prefer to change every week... because my schedule tells me to... and because I dont wanna go through the hassle of figuring out all the nutes to add to it n whatnot... I HAVE left a res for over a month.... but honestly... the plants changed weekly were in a lot happier shape.

Avid is poisonous to humans... it cannot be used during flowering unless you plan on sitting the harvest out to the air for 4-6 weeks for it to break down.

It is impossible to get root rot in a proper aero system. Period. Perhaps it was pythium or some kinda bacteria, something like that. Or the roots were completely submerged in stale water...

The only thing controlling that is you. Get some ph up and down... for $10 you'll be able to have enough on hand for a couple years.

1/3 each of soil, vermiculite, perlite... is a really good combination... i've pretty much cutout my soil now... as i like it to dry out quickly so I cannot overwater. I'm just stuck to my hydro heritage.

You can't judge the amount of light he needs by the number of plants... I do 25 under one 1000w and it is the proper amount for the area. You want 5000+ lumens per square foot..... figure it out mang!

You'll want your cup taped up or covered to block the light... not realyl for the roots... but so algae won't grow... Lights should be pretty much the same... off a little I can't see being a problem.. but if u forgot a coupletimes or something u might have problems. Depends how hearty ur...

I'm a fan of the ole alcohol... the hard stuff... beer is too $$ and smells bad.. however not being allowed to drive while drinking hampers my spirit towards it.

I use 100% perlite for clones... plus if u put them outdoors... some perlite not held by roots falls into ur hole to aerate the soil better =)

I started basically because a friend told me it was thereputic also... and now i'm so interested in it I dont know what to do w/ myself... By black and gold I mean humic and fulvic acid.... they are great additives.. and you will notice a difference in your grow by using them.
