Had two does and two fawns in the backyard all day. They finally got tired of eating corn, so they took a casual stroll up my side yard to the front and then across the road to munch on some soybeans. Old Hen just loves watching the babies. Me, too.

Got some concrete work going on today.
Widening my Driveway. Putting a sidewalk going around to my backyard where I extended my patio for a place to grill. And on the other end I'm extending a pad for a small swimming pool or greenhouse.

All those boys ya got workin' for ya got green cards, right?

Had the whole crew of corn munchers in the yard last night. Bunch of does and their fawns along with a single buck with a huge rack on him. I kinda feel sorry for him. Somebody's gonna shoot him this fall because of his rack. I never did find a recipe for horns.
The buggers are wiping a hundred pounds of corn a week. Getting into my wallet, but well worth it just to enjoy 'em.

My pup who is usually quiet at night was agitated and barking at the glass slider for about an hour last evening. I went out on the deck a few times though he was being a chicken and wouldn’t come out. Didn’t see anything so I figured he was just feeling like a teenager. This morning I found a big ole pile of bear scat on the path from the woods into my yard. I’m thinking the bear followed us back from our last walk of the day because he kept looking back and growling with his hackles up.

Yep. The lead man/ owner has a house right down the street from me. He actually got his Citizenship about 5yrs ago. He has 7 brothers and they all got their Citizenship the right way. Great workers too.

I got about 4 tomatoes and about 13 different kinds of peppers, 9 of the peppers are hot...I had to put them in big plastic pots and grow bags, because I have bamboo roots in the ground. First time I have tried the grow bags, hope they work out.

Sometimes I see them like this. I never know if it's mange or just some weird shedding cycle. Most of the fox I see are gorgeous and fur coat worthy. I think their behavior is more telling than just the appearance.
