My father in law used to keep a gallon mayo container next to his bed. Bed was upstairs and toilet downstairs.
This is a vintage chamber pot , my Grandmother had these they kept under the beds at night so no visits to the Outhouse were needed.

My dog is flipping out
he has an engorged tick on top of his head right between the eyes
I was scratching his head and it must popped or started to come off.
Blood on his forehead, its driving him crazy , I have to get it out.
Put some blue dawn on it with a Qtip or cotton ball it will release after a few minutes and you can step on it

I never knew that or was to scared I would be marked as a druggie buying one LOL
Sort of like going to the natural market and buying their entire stock of rye grain. For some reason, ours wasnt run by some hippies, it was some straight dude. I bought a grain mill so he wouldnt think this young man with hair down to his azz was growing shrooms.

I m not going to sleep next to a pe ee bucket. I would probably kick it over
Well back in the day Im sure if you were a woman you would appreciate this chamber pot as opposed to heading outdoors for the outhouse in winter or dark of night.
A man could hang it out a window and let loose the dogs of urine. lol

My great grandmother had one of each. She lived at the of of a mountain in TN. We loved seeing her but hated going as kids. No electricity, running water or indoor toilet. That outhouse used to freak me out as a kid. It ess a fun time as they had all kinds of animals just roaming around, except the pigs were confined. Goats and chickens just wandering around free. It was fun till she made us catch a chicken. My brother caught it gave it yo her then she rung its neck in front of us. Then to the chopping block. She cooked it and tried to feed it to us. There were 4 kids at the time the oldest was maybe 10. We were traumatized. I would not eat chicken for a while after that.
