Trying to do a floater (which I've never done) on an auto Strawberry-Banana. I know the veg is short and I'm 22 Days in, week 4. I'm attaching the progression from the time they hit the 5 gallon pots. My question is am I doing the proper prep for a screen? I'll add what I've done before each pic and why......

Two days later I began to do some LST........Started with Pipe Cleaners......

I traded this out for coated wire between 2 small stakes. I can tighten or loosen the hold by stake-adjustment.......

The yellowing on this last one is a concern, the other 2 show no problems yet. I'm going to do a full dose next feeding with 1/4, 1/2,1/2 tsp of Epsom/CalNit/Jack's Classic 20/20/20 Otherwise has been Ph'd to 6.6 - 6.8 RO/DI water. These are the latest.......

Am I tying down and leaf folding correctly (as far as you can tell)?

My other question is regarding the first two of this last three......if you look at the first 2....facing towards the center of the pot I tied two secondary branches back out the bottom side of the plant. Is this correct? I know I'm stretching the top cola sideways and around....... popping secondaries along the way oriented vertically to be colas. Can I get colas from a secondary headed that way or must it be the main that pops colas? How do I get colas in both directions?

I hope I'm asking right......that I make sense......go easy.

Good to see ya asking questions and actually doing the task. Ya got the right idea. Pushing all growth outwards is never a bad thing.

There's some good examples of what I do in the floater thread I posted. I tend to remove more leaf in the early stages. Opens more light to the new branches. Which makes for some quick growth.
Peak under them leaves. If there's a branch below remove it. Watch it take offfffff...lol.

And yeah, every branch you see can produce colas.
