The gabagoo pollen will make them even frostier. Sometimes they look like they were dipped in sugar. Besides that they are very sticky and potent.

I used to use a flashlight when taking pics. You can direct the light on multiple angles and get the perfect bud shots. Better than LED overheads or camera flash.
Could be something to try, easier than taking things outside in the winter.
