What I would not give for the 80's. It has been 95-100 every day for 2 weeks and with the humidity 105-110. Pot plants are handling all right because they are still in veg, but it is doing a tole on the tomatoes. Picked one last night for a salad and it was hot inside.
Gotta pick in the morning before the field heat gets in them.

Morning everybody. Hope everybody's off to a great start today. I am in the garden spot of the country. All I can say is I'm glad I don't live here anymore. Will be good to get back home. Long drive coming tomorrow.

I always figured a lever action .22 would be the best bet. You could carry a thousand rounds and still move quickly, and you can top off the ammo anytime without taking the rifle out of service.
If I'm going to buy one, and I am not, it would be for an AR platform, not my 1022. My local dealer had a sweet 1022 with the suppressor built into the barrel. That would make the trigger a little more fun.
I still have my 1st gun a 10-22 that I made into a bedded heavy barrel, new fiber stock, scope, and 50 rd mags. The thing puts lead on lead on paper.
