The interesting thing about heat is it has its own color.
A feather,steel,A rock all have the same colors at the same high temps.
The colors from the heat not the object.
1650 is roughly the magic number when it comes to steel and structual strength on a atomic level.
At that temp you can tie 1" rebar like wire.
The right side of the pic is related to temp and tempering colors.
