little help please

hey everyone.. First timer here, and got some questions.. I think I have two males and one female growing, and I am just wondering really how to do what it is I've got to do to get what I need to get (if you know what I mean). Anyway.. I posted something in the new member introduction, and this is just a follow up. I got some pictures of what I have growing and was wondering if someone more experienced might be able to help me from here. Any advice or information is greatly appreciated. Sorry if the photos are bad I am using the camera on my laptop..

Pics 2 and 3 are definitely male. Unless you want seeds kill them. If you don't mind seeds...keep them. Beautiful, btw!

SORRY TO TELL YOU BUT IT IS NOT LOOKING GOOD,the top two pictures on your right are definatly males,, i would get them outta there,also you have two other beginers in one pot in your last pic on the bottom,, you dont want to let them grow to long like that ,, two plants - one pot - not good ,, its kinda hard to see whats going on in the other pics,, but my best advice to do is to pull thoes three males,, or atleast move them away from the others,, where did you get your soil? and what are you using to fertilize? you should prolly do some transplanting with the babies in the pot, i hope this helps you

well.. here is a little more detail which might better to explain my situation, and well desperation to maintain anything smokeable at all..

I live on a very tiny island in the south pacific (not hawaii), where the population is less than how many people I went to highschool with. The availability of any smoke here is virtually non-existent.. On a very very very rare occasion someone sails over from Fiji with the rankest hand-me-down brown dirt weed but that is about it. And even that is a rare treat. A buddy of mine from California flew out here with a little 1/8 tucked away on him, and for the first time in two + years I got to really enjoy a nice smoke. Well, out of desperation I picked out some seeds that were in that 1/8 and did nothing other than just stick them in the ground.

I don't know anything about growing.. NOTHING! NADA! ZILCH! honestly I used to just buy my stuff from friends who sold. I never asked where they got it from, or anything of that nature. Now, I don't know what kind of this is, other than the 1/8 that it came from was green and a really smooth smoke. The soil is just whats in my front yard, I Haven't used chemicals or fertilizers or anything. I just water it along with the garden.

So, I am under the impression by the replies that male plants are useless. Except for seed? Well, I think I might be in a position here to need seeds, I would like to be able to start planting here on the island, as law enforcement is non-existent I'm not worried about getting caught, I just would like to learn how to do it. How to take the seeds from the male plants to hopefully grow plants that are smokeable if that's even possible.

I'm not pretending to know anything about anything here, because on this topic I have no clue. I'm surprised these grew at all! But now that they have grown, I would like to see what I can do. and with a little bit more information am hoping to try again in the hopes of getting something worth while. So.. I don't know if you can tell by the pictures or not, but what are my options with these plants? does anyone know what kind they are?

I have nothing but time and the drive to do whatever it takes to get something worthwhile out of this. If anyone is willing to share their knowledge. THANKS!

BTW: you dont neccessaritly need seeds..
You can keep your female, and just keep cloning her.
You dont have to worry about sexing afterwards..

Well on a 2nd thought. Keep your males.. JUST IN CASE..
Just move them far far far far/ down wind from your females..

Oh my gosh what Mr.PuffALot said was so funny, and I am up for adoption. I suppose that one could get tired of paradise, but yours just sounds to good to be real.
I applaud you your desire for knowlege and I think you will certainly find an education here. If you seriously read in the forums you will do fantastic things, All these wonderful peeps here will help you. thank you for the pics as this will also work to your benefit. Just be cautious about anything in the background in your pics. Remember even paradise had a serpent in it.
You were wondering about what it is that you have growing. I'm leaning in the direction of Indica. The leaves have a nice wideness to them that says Indica rather than the long thin leaves of a Sativa.
Please keep us up to date and welcome to the site of sites. This will be the most fun you have ever had with your clothes on Ha-Ha.
Let us know about what your learning here and how your babies are doing, then let me know when you are at the curing stage and I will find a chance to be a stowaway and help you test that marvelous green stuff.
Here is a little something for your grow, this will get your stuff flying for you, here's some of that Green MOJO that will give you the kick start to making those babies grow.

ok this is a pretty interesting post ,, but yeah ill try to break it down a bit for you,your males will pollinate your females and make them seed,, im going to tell you the easiest way for you to grow sence your right new to this,, go to your hardware store,, or do you even have one?? and just get a bag of promix potting soil,a jug of 20-20-20 plant food and 3 leter bag of vermiculite ,, the pro mix potting soil usually come in 3cube or somthing like that get some vermiculite make a mixture of say,3 shovels of potting to 1 shovel of vermiculite mix it up,, put it in pot and soak it with water befor transplanting your plant into it, soak it good, transplant your plant and water it again wait a couple days befor you give it plant food with the 20-20-20 just go by the instuctions on the back,,then when you get into bloom switch over to 15-30-15 and go by the instructions,, if you stick with this site people here will help you along the way.you do need to feed these things or they will die. when you water them let your tap water sit for atleast 24 hours if you have supplied water,,anyway good luck and if anyone eles could thinks of anything add it in ,, im just trying to keep it basic for him.

To grow ganga in my front yard would be cool.

If it were me, and that was the last chance for smoke, here's what I would do........

I would let them babies grow, male and female and let them pollinate to produce seeds. I wouldn't do anything to stress those babies out at all for the risk of loosing your stock. Shoot, seeded bud out where you are is better than no bud at all. This will be your seed stock for next season if you are planning to remain there on the island.

Sounds like indoor growing is not an option with expensive resources like electricity and specialty lighting. You will have to rely on seasonal growing to supply you during the rest of the year - not a big problem if you can grow like you say........

Take those seeds next season and plant a good number and let them grow, cull the males except one, and use the pollen to pollenate a female branch. This will be your seeds for the next year's grow. If you want sinsimilla, you will need to keep your male's balls in his pants so to speak - he will fert them all into seed. I'd relocate the male to an area where the tradewinds blow away from your female plants.

You will never run out of smoke once you get this going. I would expect seeds to be viable for only a year or two, so seeding one limb of your female will be one of your "jobs".

Boy..... What a thing to be able to do....... Garden in your own yard without the FEAR.

Definately keep the males, but keep them pretty far away. Even drive them somewher and let 'em grow. Read up on collecting pollen. Just grow your fems out and take a few buds and 3-4 weeks prior to harvest, pollenate a particular bud or two. That should give you plenty of seeds to grow masses and supply you for seasons to come

eh and i'd say it'd be indica DOMINATE but looks like not by much. Looks to me about 60% indica and 40% sativa. Just my oppinion though.

Definatley sepperate those few seedlings out of the pot, put 'em in the ground, that's the best place you can put 'em. They'll be introduced into a mansion instead of a 3 gallon house!

good luck with your grow and it doesn't look bad for your first time. Not bad at all. I hope you get some good luck on having females. If you have ANY questions i couldn't stress enough to ask at thought. PM forums, whichever.
