I've had open heart surgery and then a stint several years later.Asking for prayers - my wife had a heart attack this afternoon, she is in the hospital in KC. They are still running all kinds of tests, doing an echo in the morning. Said something about a stint, but not sure yet. I will update as I find out anything else
The stint won't take long and after it settles into the artery she will feel 10 times better. She will be awake through the whole thing but on the happy medicine. She shouldn't feel much at all.
Just tell her after the stint do not strain at all,,not even going to the bathroom. Straining can cause the stint to come loose. It has to become part of the artery.
They will put her on a blood thinner and a low dose aspirin per day. After a few weeks she will notice a big difference.
She doesn't smoke cigarettes does she? If so it will be a good time to stop. Tobacco narrows your arteries.
It's horrible for your heart.
Oh and tell her to drink lots of water. That fking dye they put in your arteries is horrible for your kidneys.
