Another rainy day starting at 53F and predicted to reach 62F.
Lunch with oooold friends went well, though he forgot his hearing aid, so communication was challenging. She seemed to be in good health at 90, but he has something going on with his shoulders that prevents him from raising either arm other than from the elbow. Getting old isn't pretty.....
My sister-in-law is returning home from the hospital tomorrow, so we will be re-patronizing Jake, her 6-year-old mix breed ankle bitter who we've been babysitting. He is a consummate lap dog, who sticks like glue, so I can only imagine how excited he will be to see her after a month.
I was also seriously impressed with how good a hostess Miss Layla has been, sharing us without jealousy and even letting him eat out of her dish while she is eating out of it, without so much as a growl.
Poor Melissa, our 14-year-old cat not so much. She moved upstairs when he arrived and wants no part of him. She will be doing her happy dance when she sees him go.
