In case anyone was wonderin'... NOFARGINWAY would I even get within ten feet of that big sumbitch, much less try to take him down with a Swiss Army knife.
Gives it a strike radius of roughly 7 to 9 feet.........that's quite the stretch in a hundredth of a second.

Fox squirrel is the biggest with the most meat. I have never killed a gray because they are too little.
You get any black squirrels down there? Upper part of Michigan's got 'em, and I've seen 'em on occasion out in my back yard. A black is actually a grey but with some weird melanistic genes. Same size, same shape.

Sir Walter, world renowned killer of serpents extraordinaire? Surely you jest. I'd bet you could take him out with a pair of fingernail clippers.

I saw a black Gray Squirrel in east Texas hunting with my grandpappy.

They're pretty critters. We've got four kinds of squirrels at the ranch, but the foxes are the predominate ones. Had one through the winter that was eating bird seed and deer corn. Talk about a fat bastard! That ole boy was thick.

Good morning GW and everyone else of course. It’s gonna be high in the 90s with higher heat index but our humidity will be lower this weekend making it nice for those beach folks and outside yard work I’m sure as everyone is saving it till it cools off outside
i gave up on my tomatoes as the heat was so much making them ugly and the tomatoes I’m getting the birds are wearing out. I still have a nice pepper patch and a couple of eggplants but I will be depending on my neighbors tomatoes and maybe the farmers market again this year.
hope everyone has a swell day. 😊
love the ukulele emoji 😁 makes me want to play a song this morning.

Walt don’t y’all have those Burmese pythons down where you are? I know they get big. You near the Everglades?

Those big constrictors in the glades are dangerous.
While not venomous they have wicked rows of recurved teeth designed to bold onto struggling meat.........lots of stitches.
Then there's the blow from the strike itself which is like being bit with a hammer.
Hits you drags you into itself and throws a couple coils around your torso and bears down.
Gonna be a hard fight if your alone on land gonna be a hard death if your in the water.
They have decimated the ecosystem there.
