Good morning Island brothers and sisters! Let's start this day of the Sun on an upbeat note by hugging the person or pet next to you!
Another gorgeous day starting at 61F and predicted to reach 87F. Indoors reached 80F, but windows open and fans going to cool it back down.
The live trap arrived yesterday and the raw peanuts are due today to catch the squirrel that is ravaging my tomatoes. Sadly it has already almost stripped one plant and has heavily predated the other.
An open calendar today. Let the festivities begin!

i gave up on my tomatoes as the heat was so much making them ugly and the tomatoes I’m getting the birds are wearing out. I still have a nice pepper patch and a couple of eggplants but I will be depending on my neighbors tomatoes and maybe the farmers market again this year.

I saw a 13' Western Diamonback at one of the Okene Rattlesnake Roundups, that was brought up from the Texas pandhandle. The one's we were catching in Oklahoma averaged about 5'.

I'm broken hearted, but not giving up on my tomatoes. Everything has gone perfectly except for that one little thing..............................
The caged herb garden has worked out so well that I may cage my "tamater" garden as well. First we try the trap, because I didn't have that problem last year.

The days of me sleeping eight hours without getting up for a long gone. I usually get about three hours at a time and then go right back to bed and hit another three hours of sleep… I believe that routine is a left over from the days when Ivan was a puppy and needed to go out regularly. His needs have changed, but my habits seem to have stayed. Here’s hoping everybody has a great weekend.
