Growing Problems past the seedling stage

This is Sunday, but I started flower cycle yesterday!!! Then I realized my lights weren't on for the past 2 days and they stretched a bit.

Hard to say. My grow has a variety of ages and sizes. I kept sprouting new seeds as the existing babies died. Then a miracle happened.....I listened on this forum and have success. They are 14, 11 and 8 weeks. I track their ages on a paper calendar cause I'm old. The B's are the oldest and the smallest. They were stunted for a long time. The others have essentially caught up with each other in size and they are the same seeds. They are at different node counts but just as tall and happy. I don't know if that's a thing-that the plants will adjust to each other for getting ready to flower. Also the B's are Shock Trauma regular seeds and the others are Cookie Glue or some such thing and I would expect the different strains will look different as grown plants.. Also I had to switch to regular seeds because of cost till I get this. Yours look like my older ones just looking at the shape and size. I think the little one looks basically healthy. 🌱 🤔 👍 🙃
I can't remember that give away thing on one of the forums in here but it's like $3 a seed for critical mass super xxl and I think they're feminized.

AAAAHHHHHH Hubby spotted a fruit fly in the tent. Then I saw 2 more. In one of the other conversations people were discussing this. What do I do? Is my soil to wet again?

I think different growers “flip the switch” at different times. I just switched my girls to flower yesterday after adding up the days before I can plant outside with intentions of also having new plants in the tent. My screen is about 80% full with plenty of tops ready to flower. My plants are clones from my first grow. My timer turns the lights on at 7:00 am and off at 7:00 pm. This allows me to do maintenance and peek at them during the day. I will keep this light schedule till harvest but some growers change things a bit at the end. The flower stage is fun with not much to do except feed them and maybe give them a little extra sweetness. I recommend adding molasses during the flower stage but again not everyone does. Looking forward to seeing your scrog 😎
I really have to stop inventing things when I'm doing something new. A Scrog - sure; I'll just build one. Didn't know what it was this until a couple of weeks ago. Why can't I just can't buy what I need; I have to create and build stuff.
So I made an engineered drawing of my creation. It's in the picture with the fittings. My intention was to make the netting adjustable. I know I'll be fussing over it and if it's too low on the plants and I can't move the net up I will be upset. All in all I think it will work. Needs some adjusting. The net is very heavy elastic cord. I thought it would be ok because it's the only one that was 24" X 24" and I thought it would stretch. I went with 28" X 28" overall - the tent is 30" X 30". Well it sags; their measurement was right.. I think, now that I have put it together I will look again for a net or netting. I have extra "S" hooks so I'll mess with it a bit. Any input on the gauge of the netting you use would be great. Is it stretchy or just string? Have you had to move the netting up or down during your grow?
I'm pretty sure I don't recommend recreating my build. There's some stupid details like the planting stakes didn't fit the fittings and had to make sleeves out of clear plastic tubing.
BUT, it is 100% height adjustable so I accomplished my task. It's still mocked up. I am frantically waiting for the results of the gender testing. Once I know the plants I'm keeping I can transfer them for the final time to the 3 gallon pots. They seem happy in the one gallon grow bags but I really want to move them-I think it's time. While they are out I will do a little double checking all the openings for potential light leaks, clean up and spills, adjust the light ect.. I will assemble it inside the tent, put the net up high and lower it. Everyone is about the same height.
Tomorrow will be time to take pictures with the XENVO lens to look for the telltale signs of gender. I'll post them so you can see what you can see. It will be interesting if the testing plais is right. Or if I am right. Or we agree and are both right. 🤔 🌱🙃

One of the most common issues are - seeds don't come up.
2 - Droppy leaves and stems.
3 - Yellow and brown leaf tips

Wow...so beautiful. So all these little green new growth clumps are pre flowers? And then when do we do the light change for actual flowers? Sorry I'm so lame.
Really?!?!? I missed the comment about gifting to another grower so you can keep 4 plants? Is that all you will have room for ultimately? Good grief-how big are they going to get? Hmmm...Wow I need a bigger boat....

My tent always seems to be overfilled. Although my intentions were to give a couple clone away to make room for 4 plants (one plant less than my last grow) because my friend had no room at the inn for them, I’m letting them ride along in the flower tent in there small pots at least until they make trouble Like herm out because of small pots or something…Just can’t seem to throw them out in the cold… my tent is only 2x4x6. Four plants can grow comfortably together in ther depending on the strain and how you trim them up to see the light

this is my current overhead view in the tent. I’m ok with it now. Day 3 of flower 12/12
they have about three foot room to grow in height. Since these are clones, I know that these will grow about two foot more so I’m ok with the height right now too. May have to tie things down later

Wow, incredible. I may need to find a foster home for a few. The update on the gender testing is they are in process. I can't imagine they will all be girls so it will break my heart to have to take the boys out. I talk to them and tell them how pretty they are; and they smell so good. But, want to get the keepers in their "forever pot". I still haven't fed them. I'm counting on the next transplant into fresh Fox Farm will give them nourishment for a bit longer. I'm using fabric pots so I won't have runoff to test.
I guess they are really kind of small. Oh boy..... 🌱 🙃

Wow pretty cool submarine girl I'm tied with you on the flowering (3rd day as well today). I thought I started on Monday, but I goofed with the light settings.

What strain are you growing?
I have clones from my first grow Grandaddy Purple and Gorilla Glue #4. They look a bit different than their mother plants did when I put them in flower. The leaves are much smaller. There are quite a few tops tho so my hopes are good that they going to be delicious like the first grow. I started them into flower so that my tent would be available to run some new strains in the spring along with an outside grow.

Your plants look nice and not crowded yet

4/20 right around corner. Usually Mars Hydro does their best sale. Add coupon code for another 3% and snag a 4x4 tent. Once light is obtained, turn 2x4 into mother/ veg tent. The mother /veg tent would be fine with much smaller light than flower light.

I have two 2x4 and a 4x4, but lately I've been using a single 2x4, much less work and I can only smoke so much, and have plenty on hand.

I am planning on a "regular seed" grow so will use 4x4 then, but first G&M ultimate og to finish.

today i discovered that the new growth is pretty dark green...the single planted one was always pretty dark, now also the new growth on the other ones is a tone darker than average colour probably. Could this be borderline to a beginning nitrogen overdose?

im also starting to worry a little bit about space. In first place i was concerned about height, now its more the horizontal space that grows smaller each day. If i could turn back time id only put 2 plants in there. Im growing on a 30x80 cm space, so each plant has a little less than 1 square foot. Now they are allowed to grow 15 inches more in height before i get any problems. Thats the last thing im worried about now. If they keep growing and producing leaves at that speed, i will have to arrange something. Ive read a little about "lollipopping" and "topping", the 2 most common cutting-methods, and about the cutting-philosophy behind it. Now topping doesnt really seem to make sense in my case because height is the vector i have most place in. When it comes to the lower leaves im planing only to cut things away when theyre starting to change colour and showing obvious signs of light deficiency. I kind of wanna let the plants deceide what leaves to keep and which not. I really wouldnt feel compfortable cutting away anything from them :(
i have some rods here that i wanna put in the soil and some strings, hoping i can arrange, lift and side-pull leaves and branches in a way to maximize open surface area and give lights to all parts. Its just that atm the branches are still pretty short and therefore it doesnt really change much to force them in another direction.Hhope ill get away with that.

I wish I would have room for a 4x4. The 2x4 takes every bit of room in my utility room possible. I still have young grandkids that use the spare rooms in the house on occasion. I do have an attic but it gets pretty cold up there in the winter and hot in the summer. My garage is not insulated either and I would have to provide a heat source for the plants out there. Our gas bill was 500.00 last month so additional heating cost is out of the question. Still one day I may have room available for an extra tent. I may be able to transfer a closet but it would only give me another 2x4 heated space…

Did your gpd turn our purple? I'm trying to keep mine on the colder side and hopefully my purple punch shows the purple hues.
Not sure who that was directed at but if me, some got the purple, some didn't. It wasn't that cold. More recent dos si do was much cooler and purpled up good.

With a 2 x 4 It is easy to get 10 oz, Supposedly it's capable of one pound. Trying as hard as I could, I have yielded 15+ oz, 12 is a lot easier!

Within 2 to 3 grows, that will allow a lot of product to build up. Then you have a good selection of wake/bake, daytime and nighttime strains. Add some qwet, bubble and regular hash to the stash. Then growing is very relaxed.

This is one person consumer use, obviously not commercial or high quantity growing.

No the temp in my tent was a bit to warm to get that pretty purple color. That’s what I’ve read anyway but it didn’t hurt the end product. It had an amazing smell and taste at the end of curing a couple weeks as well as in the tent and during the drying phase indescribable
