I know during the vegitative growth stage you want a fertilizer with more nitrogen, but during the flowering stage you want something with more potasium and phosphorus. I know the 0 10 10 would probably be the best, but that is hard to come by aparetnly. Would 5 10 10 be ok? I also have some 0 0 22 laying around, and was curious if it would be beneficial to use. Also i would like to knnow if potasium and posphorus can burn your plant the same way nitrogen can.

Thank You

Fertilizer

The main nutrients that a plant needs to grow are Nitrogen, Phosphorous and Potassium. Most plant fertilizers contain these elements and a good, easily available, one is called **** ****.
If you really want to then here are the some effective ratios of the three elements to be used through the two growth stages.
Early growth stages: 7-9-5 or 5-10-5 or 4-5-3.
For the flowering stages use 3-10-4 or 5-20-5 or 4-30-12.
It is best to build up the amount of fertilizer you use to what is making the plants look healthily green as too much fertilizer can kill the plant.

im still young and dont have to much experience with different ferts. however i would think you need more phosphorus (phosphate P2O5) and soluble potash. last year i used a DNF bloom solution consisting of
1-0.5-3 . i seemed to make a difference from previous year of using nothing but water.

this year im going to use a DNF fortifier 0 - 50 -30. ya strong! too stong u think? anyone? well see.

im also going to use a dr. hornby produst called big bud, so ill be able to give you feed back this fall on how all this ferts work on my different plants.

anyone else who has used these products, i would love to hear about them.:woohoo:

You would probably be better off using a fert with some nitrogen as plants still need some. Big Bud works great as a supplement to your normal ferts.

potassium is to help plants to live, and better use calcium to help wall cells to be healthy

fert? bat poo? soak in water for 3 days, u got a good fert that will not burn the leaves, just 3 teaspoon of bat poo...imo
