I started growing autoflowers and now trying a strain of (SLH) Super Lemon Haze, with two plants currently growing. 2 Weeks apart from emerging one is 55" and the younger is 40". My first two grows of (GDP) Grand Daddy Purple, 2 outside and 2 inside with the 2nd grow of GDP being awesome! (im learning) I bought the seeds from ILGM from Amsterdam. (I Love Growing Marijuana) They are great to work with and they stand behind their products.
The one question, and this is what I see with these 2 seed strains are that they have 1 stalk, very sturdy and bulky. Plants have several stems with several starting to flower in about 3 weeks since emerging. (i have good notes, just going from memory now)
So, is it common for some strains, or do all Autoflowers to have 1 stalk?
Thanks

I'm guessing no one replied because they are confused by your question! All plants have only one stalk! You can top and train them so that other branches will grow bettter, but they will still have only one stalk!

Welcome to MP.

Google some near harvest autos and hit the image tab. Plenty of examples. Some are outrageous but you'll get the picture.

Plant looks good. Ya should start a journal so we can follow your progress.

If it's flowering don't top it. Just let it grow naturally and enjoy the experience.

Our resident auto guru here(Carty) has said topping autos is not recommended as it stresses them and slows growth. With photoperiod plants, topping is ok because you can just veg longer but autos are basically on a timer once planted and slowing g them down will only reduce your harvest. I have only grown autos once. The plants did get additional branches off of the main stalk so if you are thinking you will only get one cola, you will be happily surprised with the branching as the flowering progresses.

One stalk unless some very weird genetic s.hit is going on.
For instance,,,this is still only one stalk,,,that has two main branches.

A fine example of how much stress these plants can take, and yes, done this myself spreading the plant apart.

Maybe your not liking the growth patterns on your plants, sounds like your getting tall stalky plants with little side growth. Autos can be topped, some say not to I say.. blewwwphz... If they veg fast, top them sucka's...

Grown Autos for many years, be glad to help you out and many others here will also...

Autoflowers are just cannabis plants that have an autoflowering trait. Yes some autos tend to be smaller and often harder to breed since you can't keep mother plants. But other than that, they are just cannabis plants.

That's not my plant. I was just showing the guy what it looks like.

I bet ya that plant was topped. I think ya get a stronger plant with just training them.
