O.K. everyone here we go,I grow my mothers in bubblers but my air stones keep clogging on me and cutting off air, they was cut off from air for about 19 hours and they have shriviled up pretty good, they are all still green but I know most of the shoots will be dying but I think I can save the plants, what I want to know is what would be faster to get them growing again, should I trim all the dead shoots off and leave just a little on the bottom, or leave them alone and let them fall off on there own time, the roots are great and the stalk is strong, all of the plant is still green so I think they will start growing again i just don't now what the fastest way to get them growing agian would be.heres some pics too.

Hey there, are the leaves shriveled and 'brittle' or are they soft and shriveley? If the latter I would think you should wait and see what fills back out and then decide on some pruning. If the leaves are brittle they WON'T come back. The cappilaries are closed and can't pass fluids. DeD. If someone else has more ideas i hope they'll post their knowledge for ya. Is it possible to wrap some foam rubber around yer airstones to keep the sedimant out? Like a pond filter set-up only working reversed, the foam would catch anything before it ever reached the stone, porous ya'know? Just a thought. Good luck, be patient, be cool.

The leaves are dry already,I'm looking more for new growth, not the old leaves to come back.I was needing the fastest way to encourage new growth, wether cutting the old growth off would speed it up.

I would say wait for new growth and then determine where you need to cut the dead off at. It may come back but you may be better off to just plant a new clone in there. I don't do hydro so I don't know how to help you with the airstone. I hope someone has an idea though. Keep us posted. Take care and be safe.
