I began my garden about a week ago. I started it with three plants, my first one i planted the seed straight into the soil ad kept it very moist, the second two i germinated in a container placeing one paper towel then i covered them with two more paper towels soakd them and kept them in box over my eatng vent. They both germinated wonderfully. Right know they are each a little over 2 inches in height. I water them everyday and keep them under 24 hours light. However i use just a cheap lo watt 20 grow light from walmart. I know not the best but i have a rather low budget. however though i did manage to get a nice 400 watt light from a friend. I planning on using the 400 when i move them to the floering stage.
I'v been waterng them with a mixture of tap water, potasuim tablets and ground up cannibus trimming. However i'v been recently informed the trimmings are a bad idea and i should stop using them. So i am now using just potasium and tap water.

yea i would love to post pics unfortuantly cameras are expensive and so are all the attactment necessary to upload the images. Plus im a bit paranoid i dont like to post anything online that might give away any hints to were i might live Not that im saying anyone here in untrust worthy but i know enoungh cops to know that they search sites like this for info on people. Plus im to broke to buy a camera any ways this thread is really so i can ask questions. But if i do get my hands on a camera i see what i can do for

Yea i totly understand i am trying to see if i can get my hands on a camera im sure i could get much more info if i could actualy show you what my plants are doing rather then just explaining i to you guys. Sorry if i was a bit offensive with my earlier post though.

Noooo. we're not offended, this site is routed through another country, aslong as you dont use photobucket or anything and ONLY upload photos to THIS site you're safe. Grow on bruvah;)

well i got a question for you guys what your opinion on trimming. I have been told that trimming older leaves will stimulate new growth on the plant. However in another forum i've been recently told that i shouldnt trim anything i should let it grow and what needs to go will fall off.

Trimming fan leaves is detrimental to the plant in all ways. Do not trim fan leaves. They fall off when they are no longer of value to the plant. Many people do however trim off the smaller bud sites on the lower part of the plant to help prevent having a bunch of small popcorn buds. I still leave the fan leaves, though.

I personally do not trim. I do take clones from the extreme lower branches, but that is all the trim I do. I don't like stressing my girls.... I have seen the "trees" where it looks like a bonsai tree, where they do trim all the lower branches off. I don't understand why they do this especially on outdoor grows.

Yea i actually saw som pics in the latest cannibus culture magazine of some bonsai marijuana plants they looked pretty awesome haha. Sorry i still havent gotten any pictures but they are looking nice there almost three inches tall right now. Its looking pretty nice i just hope i get some females haha to think all this effort and ten i might end up ith three males haha that would be a night mare. I'v been looking into seed companies online and stuff next time i think thats definatly the way im gonna go.

This is a bit random bu i've been looking into hydroponitcs. i was thinking of using a fish tank filled about half way with small stones and gravel then filling it with water up to the stones. Then i figured i could throw some seeds in there under a light. Would this work you think has long as i keep up nutrients in the water and enough light.
