So, I am cruising the web in hopes to find a new "cheap" organic base soil. I eventaully stumbled across this. For some reason I don't think it's organic, but it looks great for outdoor fun as it helps with both water retention and feeding. So, anyone use this or something similar? Any thought on how it may work?

Hey DL.

I do not have experience with that type of item, but some things I noticed are the 8 to 9 month feeding time and 10 -10 - 10. I don't think it's organic or they would have advertised it. I don't think it is a soil.

I have great success with even ratio all three for a vegging plant. If they really feed that long, you'll need to supplement your ratio with more blooming nutes during flower.

I have read that 'unattended to' plants in the outdoors don't do well, so I assume you will be frequenting them for amendments anyway.

The water retention thing might help. It's all what you use in your medium mix that matters.

PB:)
