Hi ontbud08
My first plans was also to go aeroponics in my new 150 plant colliseum, but was adviced from a former overgrow colliseum grower to fill with perlite... so Im heading that way. The aeroponics is in my opinion the most excited way to grow, but ehh... there usually will be one or more problems during a grow, and an error on an aeroponics system will be fatal within hours. So thats why Ill be waiting a little with that setup...
About starting the seeds, if you should start many at a time - my suggestion would be making an ebb n flood table.
I have been trying; soil start, jiffy start, grodan start, homemade sprinkler cloner start and now ebb n flood with perlite. And till now the ebb n flood caused the smallest issues for my seeds/cuts = none sofar. I think you win the advantages in the growspeed from hydro, but again no sprinklers to get stopped - so pretty nonriscy setup for start. (I water 3 times a day in my 7x7x7cm perlite pots)
Good luck, and hope we get to follow you in your journey...
