hello all, my first post. Ive been lurking for awhile and started my first "project" based on all the great info i have read here.

My girls are on week 5 of flowering and everything looks good so far, why not great so far? that is my question. The buds are very airy and not as dense as what i see on most post on this site.

Will there be a big "EXPLOSION" of growth in the 6th thru 10th week? Do buds really thicken in the later weeks? Im using a Bloom Booster which is 0-10-10

1000 watts hps/mhd
16 babies, about 4 1/2 feet tall
great airflow/80 degrees temp
good ph and fair looking plants.

I just did a flush this week do to some clawing from my last round of N ferts a few weeks ago.

I'll post some pics on Friday, I was just wondering about a hopeful growth spurt in the last 4 weeks.

:welcome:,buds will fatten a lot during last weeks

:ciao: Hey there welcome to MP good to have ya here.
1.So how far is your light from your plants?
2.Bloom Booster? Is that the only thing your using as nutes?
3.Whats your feeding schedule? How much, how often?
4.What is your light schedule?
5.Do you maybe have a light leak some where?
And yes my plants usually hit a "explosion" of growth in/or around the last 2 weeks. They put on the most weight then. Everybodys plants are different just kinda depends on what strain you got growin.

you should see a couple "EXPLOSIONS" of growth with the biggest usually being at the end of the cycle....the first is usually within the first 4-6 weeks depending on the strain....if you haven't seen much growth yet i would definately check for light leaks....also, what strain are you growing?....sativas take a bit longer than indicas to start showing vigorous flowering....

1.So how far is your light from your plants? about 2 foot 1000 wts is hot

2.Bloom Booster? Is that the only thing your using as nutes? as of 2 weeks ago yes. I just did a flush due to slight clawing due to too much N just 2 days ago

3.Whats your feeding schedule? How much, how often? evry other day 1 litter of water, my babies are in a 4 gallon bucket. moister meter says dry within 48 hours of watering

4.What is your light schedule? 12/12 for past 5 weeks

5.Do you maybe have a light leak some where? Im under ground so no

its some seed from a buddy, sour diesel

Sour Diesel is a clone only strain....if you've got the Reservoir seed version it's close but not quite the same thing....either way it's a mostly sativa strain and has about a 70-77 day flowering time....you should start seeing substantial growth within about a week or 2....and keep in mind that bloom boosters usually aren't complete nutrients....they're usually meant to be additives to your regular fertilizer....

Everything sounds normal. Except maybe bloom booster. Im not sure if thats a base nute or just like a bloom enhancer. Like flesh said Im pretty sure its an additive and in order for you to have an additive you first need a base nutrient. Do you have abilities to get some MJ specific nutes such as GH and AN? If you do Id try to get some if I were you.
Also you say "my babies are in a 4 gallon bucket" how many are in that 4 gallon bucket. You should be using a single bucket for a single plant. My plants either grow in a 3 gallon pot, with my new grow each plant will get there own 5gallon bucket. Your plants mite be root bound with more than one in the 4g bucket and the roots are impossible to untangle after.

not sure what GH and AN are, but yes i do have access to a nice hydro shop intown

each plant is in its own bucket.

I backed off the nuts when i started to see tip burn and bit of claw. The bloom booster is 0-10-10. Ive been afraid of using any more N.

So i should go back to using a 12-9-6 and bloom booster 0-10-10

In all this reading over 4 months ive been scared about over watering and fert burn (most common rookie mistakes)

AN-Advanced nutrients or GH-general hydroponics they both make excellent nutes geared more towards MJ. AN is a little pricey but I believe worth every penny. Like my base nute from AN for flowering is 5-4-8 but then I use additives like big bud which is 0-10-40 and carboload. Go to your local hydro store and take a look around at the different nutes get some MJ specific nutes and see where it takes you. MJ can and will burn easy if your not careful, its recomended working your way up tp full doses of nutes like 1/4 strength first than half strength and so on.
And sorry I must of misunderstood you before I thought you said all your babies are in a 4gallon bucket.

will do on the nutes, thanks for the advice.

1 last question. the smell is nice but still faint.

is the kind smell gonna come late in flower or after dry and cure?

The smell will come trust me. You will be overwhelmed by the kind smell. Theres plenty of things you can do to detain the smell just look in the DIY section. Good luck.

i want the smell. not worried about it, totally isolated. I was more worried about the lack of it.

thanks for all the help. ill put up some pic on friday

8 days since the flush, what a pain in the ***.
these babies have been in the soil for 92 days, sprout on july 4th
its had 52 days of flowering at 12/12

most responded well to the flush, leaves greened up and un curled, 3 of 16 still a bit clawed up.

how they looking?

you dont think the monkey riding the dog around the grow room is effecting the plants?

Other then the monkey riding a dog I think your good man. Those monkies riding dogs are terrible security thats why I have Gotti and Capone my pits. But other then a little burn on the tips Id say your plants look good keep up the good work and let us know how its going. Im excited to see how it finishes those look like they will be some heavy colas.

103 days old, 3 weeks since 1st flush. Just flushed again and just straight water for the next week or so. tric getting cloudy

how they lookin?
