Wil's 2025 Winter Auto Grow

Recharge is good stuff, but I've never used the grow dots. I felt, with a simple formula like Jack's in peat, I'd have more control over excesses or deficiencies than with dots. Recharge works so well, I might rethink my position. I'll be watching to see your results with them.

I have not used them before, but I do like to try new things and part of my reason for my grow journals is not to show how well (or poorly ) I grow. My reasoning is to help people learn along with me. If I was just going to do what worked, I'd be growing in earthboxes. Next winter I'm going to do a perpetual grow for about 6 months.

But yeah, check in and hopefully we can see how these grow dots work. I just ordered a few small fans and a couple of exhale bags. As well as my 2nd light for the 2x4.

Keep in mind I've never grown in coco before. But I'm going to treat it kinda like i would peat. I am thinking I may add some oyster shell and palletized gypsum to add some calcium to the mix and I may add a few cups of rock dust.

So what ya plan on feeding the coco? Ya trying to avoid the calmag drag?

The grow dots are the fertilizer... I'm going to add cal mag if I need to. I don't think i will need to.

Honestly I'm not sure but the guy that makes them uses them in coco...

So the bush doctor coco loco from fox farms already has earthworm castings, perlite, oyster shell and a few other things... so i think I'm just going to add gor dots and see what happens.

When I ordered it, I didn't realize it had the guano, and castings and stuff in it. I'm a little worried that the grow dots may be too hot, but I'm going to give it a shot anyway. I am thinking I may even try a 3 gallon with the ocean Forrest and maybe put some grow dots in there too.

Ok, my seeds came today while I was at work. When I got home, I placed my chosen seeds into labeled cups of water. I am growing 1 of each of these except the cookies kush. I am growing 2 of those.

So I am kinda pissed with Amazon right now. It seems like they are trying to use their own delivery instead of fedex or ups, I'm sure to save money. The last 2 days their tracking said my package was out for delivery and both days it did not show up. I messaged them last night trying to just find out where my package is and today I have no info for my package location. It just says it was out for delivery yesterday and that it is now running late. What a freaking joke. By the way, this package has some small vivosun fans and my 2nd light for the 2x4.

I had 2 packages do that during Christmas. Amazon resent both. You gave to wait a few days after its due then it will tell you to ask for a refund or replacement. I just thought it was due to Christmas.

I had them do this same thing with an order about a month ago. It seems to me Amazon is recently trying to find ways other than the postal service, fedex, and ups to ship their packages, in an effort to save money. My Amazon experiences have been getting worse each year.

I've almost always had good luck. Most all of them come via an Amazon truck or a privateer with Amazon signs on their vehicle. Some come USPS, and they deliver on Sundays, but only Amazon packages, no mail.
I order a few things from them. The Pullet orders from them constantly.

Talk about coincidence? I just now got two packages, one for me and one for the Pullet. They came in a white Budget van with Amazon stickers on it, and the driver was wearing an Amazon uniform.

Well my package finally showed up today. I got my 2nd light for the 2x4 tent... and 2 small fans. I have a couple more fans coming on Monday. I will mix up some coco and grow dots tonight as well as fill a couple other pots with ocean forest.

Got all my coco and grow dots mixed in... in the small tent we have the left pot and middle pot full of coco loco, and grow dots, as well as I mixed in a little basalt and palletized gypsum. The right pot is ocean forest with grow dots mixed in and nothing else. In the bigger tent I have on the right 2 pots with straight ocean forest, the far left pot is also straight ocean Forrest. The middle left is coco mixed with grow dots, basalt and a little oyster shell flower. Small tent is 3 gallon grass roots living soil grow bags and the big tent is 5 gallon grass roots living soil grow bags.

I have exhale bags and a couple other fans coming tomorrow. I need to order another online fan but I don't need it right away. I do something that most growers don't do. In veg, I don't run an exhaust fan. I run a fan or 2 to maintain airflow. I find that during the first 4-6 weeks, the plants are so small, they aren't creating much humidity and if I run an exhaust fan, even on low, I have a really hard time maintaining a decent amount of humidity. So I leave my humidifier on 70% to start, and I try to keep my temps in the middle 70's to low 80's. I have the exhale bags in the tents to provide the extra co2 this worked really well for me in my last grow. Then when the girls start to flower I take the humidity down to about 60% and i will run an exhaust fan, usually on low. And in mid to late flower when they are really packing on weight, I drop the humidity down to about 50% and run the fan at whatever speed is needed.

I am a little worried that the pots with grow dots may end up with too much nitrogen. I should have bought happy frog and added some rice hulls or perlite for aeration. I'd feel better about that but it is what it is.
