So I'm follow a guy who does a lot of breeding for Great lakes seeds.
He mentioned to check the ones that look immature. If they are hard keep them for yourself. The majority of them will germinate and produce a perfectly fine plant. I did not know this. I've never saved a immature seed.
Went on to mention he tossed a bunch of seed before he realized by accident that they will grow. Now he keeps them as backups.
