what was your Major?

mine was Horticulture and we had several classes that bled over to Animal Husbandry/Veterinary

it was fun rubbing elbows with the sons and daughters of ranchers , ranchers and farmers

a few other Majors i was leaning towards was Greenhouse Management and Golf Course Superintendent

can you believe that , going to University to work on a golf course?…..dude who got jobs in California right after graduating started at six figures…good gig if one can get it
I did home study horticulture and animal husbandry growing up on a farm, but didn't take any college classes in it. Did ya'll hoe any vegetable gardens, shovel piles of manure, or pull a calf to assist its birth?

36 years ago, we bought our house from the greenskeeper at Columbia Edgewater golf club, who did a great job of putting in a stellar sprinkler system, lawn, and gardens. Sadly, but to our benefit, he came down with AIDs and stage four cancer after restoring the place to its original splendor and glory.

I was in the Animal Husbandry/Pre Veterinary studies program. You never just start in a Vet school without other Pre Vet classes have been taking , like being a doctor, they don't just jump into Med School always Pre Med.

I birthed a good number of animals and even have 15 human births under my belt now,
Women in Big Cities in some parts never go to Hospital to drop them. Have it at home much cheaper.

Each time I delivered one my crew would get this pin
I have 15 of them stored away as memories'. If you have never seen a human baby coming out it;s a sight to see. LOL

Kool experience, though I'm guessing probably not in class and from a practical horticulture, animal husbandry standpoint, more fulfilling than the hoeing acers of vegetables and shoveling **** parts.

Growing up on the farm motivated me to find an easier way to make a living that included more fun. It did give me a stellar work ethic, a practical view of life, and I learned to build almost anything from piles of junk.

Besides good food, one of the best parts is that after growing up with animals, animals in general like me, so I not only have an easy tight relationship with our own pets but get to share love ins with other people's.

I agree I have always had a special attraction to Animals both Big and small, they tend to choice me and will greet me other others, I have had large Cat handlers ask me if I have ever worked with Big Cats before just from the way a tiger treated me one day while working in a lab doing field studies.
I missed my calling, would have been so much happier fixing animals then screaming Humans who never appreciated it most times.
I really do have a special place in my heart for animals.

Good morning, folks hope all is well at the Old Farts Club.

Computer had two viruses. All clean up now I hope this is the first time I tune in. Chopped down Northern Lightryder it's been hanging for 5 days. Been smoking finger hash it came out pretty good love the taste of hash.

I hang out on a farm in the olden days. Mostly harvesting hay bales. Rode some horses and milk the cows. Still remember the smell of the barn. Good outdoor life. 🥰

we love it out here on the high plains….less than one person per sq mile in our county

view from the back porch where Swede and me smoke a hooter and watch the sun go down

I thought you were gonna buy a boat and sail off in it....

Morning. Been down with major back pain since Sunday. Doing my best but hit the sack early last night. Hopping I have turned the corner on it today. Pain pills I have don't seem to help...just make me groggy.

No time for this. I have s-hit to do.

probably from all that fishing and driving the boat in those rough lake conditions , white caps and all that smashing of the waves , yeah , that will do a number on anyones back

you may have to cut back on fishing this year until your back heals up
