I went home on leave once and was surprised that a regular man's haircut had gone up to 50 cents at my barber. It was a quarter before.

I have clippers too, make the mistake of letting the wife buzz my head after 2 glasses of wine.
She would take a swipe and giggle. I knew I was in trouble.

Mine doesn't drink, but she doesn't like cutting my hair either. I should just do it myself, but I get her to do it just as soon as I get up in the morning with bedhead.
 
I have thick wavy hair that gets impossible to manage if it gets very long so I keep it short and have it thinned as well as cut about monthly.
My hair is similar, I have the top of my hair grow straight up into a Buffone and looks like an animal made their nest up there.

Won't be growing any maters until next spring.... between this day and then only pot.
I started cutting Dads hair when covid closed everything down. Glad I dont have to schlep him to Fort Bliss once a month anymore. Now he gets the uncle fester… lol
