2 years in the federal system is actually not bad....18 months is as short as I've seen, generally the party starts at 10 years, if a "big" case, easy to get 20 or 30. Very little good time.

Depends on where in the country the institution is.
Some areas you can do your time as a individual to a large degree some areas it is 100% race based and extremely political in a prison kind of way.
I find that fascinating for some reason.
