Is it possible to harvest your plant and let some of the branches stay on and have another harvest? I have a very late first frost in my area and was just wondering if i could have multiple harvests or not? I know people do it indoors but doesn't it have to reveg and stuff? Just wondering if anyone had experience on this. Thanks for any help...

im glad you asked this. i've been thinkin of puttin a plant outdoors since i harvested it and tryin to get another harvest out of it. im not sure how that would work.. i'll be waitin for answers with you.

its possible in warmer climates. when you harvest, leave some of the fan leaves and shoots intact along with the main stem and bring inside and put on 18/6 or 24/0 with a good dose of general ferts, 20-20-20 or any even spread fert. theres no way where im at to leave them outside b/c of frost. i grow afgani' which are pretty early here but im thru harvesting around the end of oct. and it can get frosty right about then. hope this helps..........

ps. slomo if you have one harvested right now id do it. dose it and set it in the sun.dont expect giant top colas but the smaller undergrowth buds may be bigger than say under a 400w or 600w indoor setup.

it is possible so i have seen some people do it arouind here, on that same note i have also heard that is not worth doing for reasons i cant remember at the moment, sry. but think of it this way, every plant has stress growing, specially when outside, now when it comes time to start the new veg cycle, would you rather have a fresh plant ready to fullfill its need for a nice fat harvest and no stress or would you go with the grumpy old plant that already has stress and has already fulfilled its purpose?

remember the genetics of MJ are for a seasonal plant it is meant to grow harvest and die, leaving seeds behind so the whole process can happen again.. Hope this helped.. :aok:

You can't revert an outside plant to veg unless you can change its light cycle so that there is more light than dark during the day. You would need HID lighting or CFL's at the least to accomplish this. So your plant would need to be inside or you would need a lot of extension cords. Unless you have superpowers and can change the amount of time the sun shines on your spot on this big ball we call earth.

PS: if you do have superpowers let me know maybe we can team up and fight crime together :p

So to re-generate it has to go into veg again and then it has to go back flowering? OK thanks... Also, what are the chances of having a harvested plant survive the winter if i put a clear bag over it or something?

not much you gotta bring it inside and put it under lights. it is an annual plant.

lol.. it's a bird.. it's a plane.. no it's.. "Suuuuuper-Tater".. :p
how about plugging the lights into a...."current" bush??? .

my plant is indoors and has been harvested.. i don't have room for it in my veg box to reveg it so i was wondering if it would be worth it to start reveg indoors then harden it off to the sun and put it outdoors and cut clones off later when i have more room in my veg box... i know it won't produce big buds if i try to harvest it agian.. im more interested in the clones than the bud. could this work...

sorry not tryin to jack the thread. but thought this question could help us both..

i think it can work in mel franks handbook he said if u re veg under lights that u can. the slowly dwindling daylight wont cut it though. its gotta be under lights. but if u harvest this spring and then use the natural increase in sunlight it frees up room in your box.
