I planned on growing Lowryder and normal strains of MJ together

Since Lowryder doesn't go through a VEG cycle.
Does it need to be under the HPS flowering light, from the start??

or can it go under MH veg light with the other and then HPS flowering?

thanks

Maybe I'm missing something. But, who said lowryders don't go under a Veg cycle? Some people may not do a Veg cycle to shorten the grow time and to keep them small. But, I think its all about preference.

Also, even though the MH is optimal for Veg and the HPS is optimal for Flower, they can both be used to do both. You can veg and flower entirely with MH and HPS as well.

Lowryders most definitely go through a veg state. Males will veg for about 14 days and females will start to show *** around day 18. So, before they start flowering, they are just growing new set of leaves...aka vegging. I see this misconception far too much... Where did you get this "no veg" idea MrPuff?

As far as lighting is concerned. You can use whichever light you like. However, it is best to have these suckers on 24/0 for about 3 weeks and then drop it to 18/6 to get them to stretch out and gain more bud sites.

Yup, and i don't see a point much in trying to skip the veg state with a low ryder to keep it small....it's a low ryder, they naturally stay smaller.

And DL explained it! that's exactly what i'd do before throwing it into flowering =)
