my plants were looking a little droopy so a friend told me go pick up some perlite and mix it in the soil sto get mor air mixed in it.... now a couple days later my plant stopped drooping is the perlite a good idea anyway... thnx in advanced...

hello Cutthoatish420 :)

Perlite like any other soil additive that is aimed at airating soil allows the root system to gain valuable oxygen that the root system needs.

This still can be ruined if you over water your plants.

Your drooping may have been caused by too much water in your soil, the sudden stop of drooping may be because you re potted the plant giving the roots a breathing space.

How often do you water/feed your plant/s?

Yo Ho cutthoatish420,
Perlite is an inert substance that usually can be found as a bag of mini styrofoam balls and is most excellent when mixed into one's soil
for the purpose of allowing for better airation and drainage of the soil.
I mix soil, and perlite in a ratio of 3 parts soil, 1 part perlite, and one part coarse sand. Remember your trying to grow a weed. LOL
In a three gallon container I would put in 2 gal soil, 1/2 gal sand, 1/2 gal perlite. Perhaps that will help you to better understand me.

smoke in peace
