Hi all,
Brand new member here so this is my hello.
Years back I started a couple seeds of some pretty good bud in one of those veggie seed starters, you know, with the individual slots for a seed each. Well, I had about 8 seeds and 6 of them germinated. Of those, only one seemed any good, so I took that one and planted it outside between my detached garage and a fence. It had barely any light and the soil positively sucked, but this thing turned into a ridiculous monster tree-like thing over about 5 months, in Chicago of all places. It got so big I bent it over about 2/3 from the bottom thinking it would die off there but instead it grew sideways from there and got more bushy.
It was female and yielded about 12 oz f good solid buds , and a bunch more crappy ones. It smoked good, but wasn't quite as potent as the buds the seeds came from, but still a good high and just about free too.
That was 25 years ago, and it was a happy accident. Now I intend to grow outdoors again, in California, and I don't expect to be anywhere near as lucky, but it looks like there are a boatload of knowledgeable and helpful growers here so I'll thank you all in advance for any advice or tips I get for trying this the right way this time.
