lower bud sights

i have got two plants in flower right now,working on the third week.Two different hights ,but both producing good buds so far but my bud sites underneth are producing about half as the top is and i get it cause they dont get as much light.I got them under a 400hps and my walls are filmed,got the rest of the set up going on etc. but was wondering what the best thing to do to get that light in there?the one plant is 3 1/2 feet and the second one is about 2 feet tall.

Well most likely the top buds will mature faster than the lower ones. So, you harvest the top buds, and let the bottom ones mature longer... could get another week or so out of the lower ones... That's my plan of attack anyways. One thing I don't understand is how to flush. How will the bottom bud get their nutes if their growing longer? :confused2:

The nature of the plant is to make the top buds larger than the bottom buds. Inside grows magnify this effect.

The bottom buds will be just as potent as the top ones. The difference isn't noticeable by smoking it.

I've proven this with smokers dozens of times. They always argue about it until I show them that they can't tell by smoking it.

Grow your crop so that the top buds are perfect and let the rest take their natural path. It's not worth the extra cost in lighting to try to do it different.

The best way to get light to your lower buds is to do some "Low Stress Training"...just tie the top bud down at a 45 degree angle to the container. It works great indoors and gives you great security in an outdoor grow. I start LST training while in veg...once I hit the third node, my ladies start to bend over.

thanks you guys your advise i will let this grow go as is and then next one i will try LST and keep rotating the plant in flower to help with the light getting down in there more.Keep them ladys happy.:farm:

lst just makes for a bigger plant. try growing single main cola plants from clone in a 1 gallon pot pack them in their.
Or
Add a few cfls to a lst plant/ tall plant to get the lower buds Bigger.

stoney is right i believe, the lower buds are also older, but by letting them go a few weeks over is another plus for the lower branches if your looking for more of a couchlock high as compared to the top.

okay... i'm gonna speak my mind because everytime I read this I'm like WTF!?

My lower buds ALWAYS mature first. (because they are the oldest on the plant) There is never one time that I have ever grown... EVER... that the lower buds were not all covered with brown hairs and amber trics when the top was only 75% brown and 50-75% amber.

Maybe I'm wrong? But this is how it works for me everytime...

oh, what i ment is that since the light doesnt hit there, the buds dont grow as much, so if you let them go longer than the tops, you can get more weight out of them... sorry.

Ilet the small popcorn buds do their own thing. Very rarely do I ever use these for anything other than making hash out of. I find that people around here have a hard time paying for smaller buds.

So grow them out/harvest them/ and make a good bubble hash outta them.:cool2:

im not specifically adressing u man... i just mean in general n all the times i've read it on here..
Now there are a couple down low that are not brown whatsoever.. but imho it is just immature scragly growth that i even dont know why it grows... it shows up after the rest of the plant is grown sometimes... I always cut the suckers down when everything is showing rite around 50% amber... the lil buds can be sacrificed being a lil more couched then the rest.

This is the last week of my current grow too.. and i have the girls up to 3 times the normal amount of 0-50-30 monster bud and they are takin it rite good n ez.. =)
