So, this morning at 7 am I wake up to this bang. No idea what it was... I looked around for a while and didn't see anything, I just assumed it was one of the dogs hitting a closet door or something. I few minutes later I hear anoher bang, then a horn honk, then another bang... Now I know it is snow balls getting thrown at the sliding glass door. Insane. It's my land lord. He tells me he has to get in to do an appraisal of the house becuase he is selling it. WTF! So, I'm a pretty laid back guy so I tell him to come back in an hour. I have to haul my hydro buckets weighing a good 100 pounds a piece into my walk in closet. Every T5, fertilizers, my grow tent... Anything and everything that could possibly suggest growing. While I was doing all of this, fire started pumping through my viens. I pay hundreds of dollars more a month than I should for this house. They lied about cable and internet being included. Te utilities are tripple of what I was told to expect. In the end, I told my land lord that I am leaving by the end of the month. I never signed a lease or paid security so you can imagine the look on his face. :eek: I feel bad, but he made me break down my grow and I was planning on doing that when I moved out next month. Craziness. That is all.
 
Always, ALWAYS, sign a contract with the details in it, right down to if cable is going to be included. Also, make sure that when you sign another contract if you rent from someone that it is stated you need at least 24 hours notice before they come over to do house inspections or appraisals or anything like that just so you can get your "affairs" in order. Thankfully this time your landlord didn't just barge in when you didn't answer the door. That would have been BAD.
 
dont rent buy....even if you cant afford a home...buy a piece of land (at least one acre) and put a new trailer on it...that way its yours...thats what the wife an I did after we got married....then after 7 years we had a house built on the land and gave the trailer to a young couple just getting started...........people always talk about those who live in trailers......but hey....its yours.......y dont have to worry about land lord sor rent increases...and yopu can do what ya want......our piece of land is on a ridge on top of the mountain...now living in a trailer park...that is something different.....some are nice and some are junk......just an idea....my sister said she would never live in a trailer...well she and her husband still live in a rented place...me...all my stuff is paid off now and I owe no one nothing......now if I could be my own boss life would be tops....:cool:

hey DL toker sorry to hear that.. stupid son of a beeetches huh? i had a landlord that was originally my friend and i lived with him and did his girlfriend you know the usual and then they moved out and i took over that place, them being the owner. and he would come over sometime as a friend, then would switch to a beetch landlord when he noticed that someone was there that he didnt like. which i dont care who the landlord is, but he is not gonna tell me who i can and can't have here this is my living space now and paid for. so 5.0 got called and he was leaning with the landlord, thats when i started getting on the cops case and asking him about his landlord and using his landlord's name saying "what if your landlord came to you with this sheet!! huh?" hes just like uh ? uh.. DUH cops are dumb sometimes... neway long story short they left before they got their a** beat and obvisouly hes not my friend or landlord anymore... lol

and actually i think that it is a law to notifly your tenants 24 hrs b4 the scheduled visit.

hope u get it back in running conds.
 
Oh, the tricks of the day. It is a bummer but my plants are alive and well. I am disappointed because I did build a nice relationship with my land lord... They say to never mix business and pleasure... Anyways, I am constructing my grow area tonight in the new house I'm moving into.. I don't want to buy a place yet... I'm still young and am not looking to settle down somewhere until I get my masters or my phd (And stoners are branded as slackers:rolleyes: ).
 
lol i hear that DLtoker, sorry to hear about the shennanigans, sounds like a right load of BS, but thats life man, hope everything goes ok with the move :)

ur avatar? givin away trailers to up and comers? lol thats too rich. :p

but my biggest worries living here are the inspections and the plants in the window. i just planted one outside in the mud and idk if it will survive. but asking too much about 34hr warnings is suspicious even tho i say its good 4 us all. im planting mine up in the woods a lil so its no too clear who they belong too.
