Good morning, Misfits. First morning in a long time that I haven't woke up to sunny skies. Battleship gray out this morning. We could use the rain.
A few hours of outside stuff and then it's off to the usual Friday stuff.

I don’t think I’ve heard you say anything about the pullet and the old hen lately.

You ain't been paying attention! I probably talk about them way too much, but they are the constants in my life. Don't think I'd be here without them. I don't know what I did in my last life to be gifted with the Old Hen, but I'm glad I did it. As far as the Pullet goes, I couldn't have gotten a better daughter if I'd picked her out of a Christmas Sears & Roebuck catalogue.

Neither our chickens nor pheasants did that. I think it may be an overcrowding issue.

This chick won’t live with the quail. Since it was a week early I was not ready with a brooder space. They can live with quail for a few days. But will quickly outpace the quail in size and compatibility
