Sandspurs rank as well as the jumping cacti imo.
Yep. I went barefoot for most of my childhood in Florida, but those things would still stick in your foot.
Mean kids would throw a stem full of them at your back - and they'd stick to it!

Nasty little buggers, those.

Yup Denver had those and when they dry up there even worse. If those are the same thing I'm thinking of.

Been ass holes and elbows for me today. Only thing I didn't get done was to trim a Death Star. I is just gonna have to wait until tomorrow. I am gonna join Hippie at the beer 30 joint. Fall cleaning is almost done. Another year in the books. Still a few leaves on my trees but well under control.

Yes same here. I am almost done except for leaves. I had to do a major cut back on my old Cherry blossom tree. have left it for way to many years. I had to cut some 15" limbs and a lot of suckers. I still have about a quarter left but my knee wont have it. So that will happen next year.

I put a cool grand in fencing materials in the back of my truck earlier and just unloaded it...how sad that I could have doubled the load if not for the price...everything in the farm store was almost double the price a year ago...tomorrow is a free day but come Sunday it'll be azzholes to elbows installing it...

I took out a grape bush the other day. The Japanese Beetles simply devour it. Hopping it helps reduce the damage they do to my grass roots while in the larva stage. Trees got trimmed as well.
