Very sorry for you and your mother, Subbie. Sounds like play for play the last days of my mother's existence on this plane. Been four years since she passed, and the tears are pretty much gone unless I think about her too much.

Good morning friends. I just had a moment. The quiet time I get to myself by being an early bird has been the best part of my day staying at mommas house taking care of her. the morning buzz here is just incredible maybe the situation and the fact I’m not smoking as much here and Mr Subbie tightens me up everyday with a rolled Arsenal of homegrown just in case I need it. She has a nice private patio which she never used this I do visit a few times a day when I have a moment.

I don’t know how much longer she can hold on. No food or fluids now for 6 days 7 starting today. Been making ourselves busy getting some things cleaned out around here while we have all this time as busier is better than sitting around waiting for her last breath. (Actually dreamed that she got up and was upset about all the stuff I had thrown away and put on the donation pile. It was a crazy dream during one of my 2 hour sleep sessions between drugs I give her every 3 hours. ) She is and has always been a strong woman and it doesn’t surprise me. Her vitals are all good but her breathing is shallow and sometimes stops completely for 45 seconds before she gasps for air. My breathing also stops when I see this and have thought “this is it” many times already.

just realized that I have a great buzz and seem to be venting here so thanks for reading my short story 🤪

hope everyone has a beautiful day 🥰
You are doing your mommy proud. God bless you, Subbie.

I'm getting ready to head to my office to clean all my stuff out. Next week's my last week.
Figured I would get it cleaned out before Monday.
Monday and Tuesday I have to escort a HVAC crew at the Secret Service in Irving.
Wednesday and Thursday I'll be in Galveston Texas for a couple site visits and of course Friday will be bye bye mother fkers.
Hell I gave my two weeks and haven't even got my call that I have the other job.😁
From what I've been told I have the job.
Don't care,,I was getting tired of traveling anyway.
My SS pays my bills. My job gives me options that a fixed income won't.
Sounds to me like you are going into a much happier chapter. Good on ya.

You are absolutely spot on as to the variables for getting nailed with AFIB. You are definitely not in trubble with yours.

I gave up all caffeine and alcohol like a fargin door closing.

My AFIB was what they actually call "holiday heart". <-- Good strong black coffee and lots of it, followed in the evening by the most delicious drink ever made, Kahlua and Brandy <-- usually two snifters.

And high cholesterol count and high BP. <-- That wuz Himself that fateful night... all of the above.

My cholesterol is down to lovely level, and BP and Heart Rate are nice and low... and all becuz I cut out those sinful pleasures. No problems anymore -- although I do keep a careful record of my BP/HR readings.

Ever since I was brought into the world of AFIB, I most ricky-tick have been sensitized towards other folks getting it and not having a Board Certified doctor on call 24/7/365 like I do.

It is a stroke/death hazard I would not want anyone to suffer from because I didn't try to make them aware.
I will never forget being in Miami airport with my Brother who was doing a craft showi in Fla.
Walking thru the airport I saw a big framed poster on the wall and there was large hand writing on it.
From a distance it looked like a kid scribbled a note, like a kid.
When you get close you see what was written. (not accurate over 20 yrs ago but close) I used to be a engineer ,for years ,studied ect ect TILL I HAD A STROKE.
Educate, I had a TIA ,went immediatly to Stony Brook got a clot buster .I was lucky and ok
Another friend had a stroke ,took a long time to get help ,goes to the worst local hospital we have and is damaged

Sorry Subbie. I try not to think about what your going through because it brings back horrible memories of my Mom dying of Lung cancer.
At the end she wasn't eating or drinking. I don't know how she held on so long. I have a picture that was taken when I was hugging her for the last time. To this day I can't even look at it.😢
Believe me when I say I know how you feel. I wish you weren't going through this my friend. Give your mom a hug from Weedhopper.
make it from all of us please my Dear

Yeah I haven't touched Hard Liquor or Caffeine in a very long time. I could probably do Half Caff but I don't see the purpose. I like my Decaf and Lite beer. If I ever start to have problems again I will adjust my Thyroid medication 1st and go from there. They give me the lowest dose which is 25 mg Levothyroxine and I only use 2/3 of a pill a day. So I'm on a very low dose. It's amazing how it stopped my AFIB. My AFIB was horrible. Every so often my heart would go berserk. You could see my shirt moving. I would damn near pass out and would be soaking wet with sweat. My chest would hurt like a mother fker.I did all the tricks available untill it went away. Such as bending over and straining and messaging my collated arteries in my neck, not to mention coughing real hard I did that for years until the last time I went to the hospital and the fkers actually checked my thyroid instead of just my heart and stress testing.
My TSH levels was at 8.9😳. Now it's at 1.8 to 2.4 where it fking should have been all those yrs.😡
It was like a miracle. I still can't believe it sometimes. What a relief.

Did they ever say anything about Graves Disease to you? My good friend had similar symptoms as you and they found it was his thyroid also, they even went as far as to kill it with radiation. His thyroid never died but he still takes meds to help it function correctly.
They also said he was suffering from graves which was helped once he started the meds . He too had AFIB and attacks like yours.
They even went in to perform heart Ablation is a procedure to treat atrial fibrillation. It uses small burns or freezes to cause some scarring on the inside of the heart to help break up the electrical signals that cause irregular heartbeats. This can help the heart maintain a normal heart rhythm.

Watched your bee video GW. Pretty kool.
Kool! We are delighted to see that our original bees were doing well in their new home, especially after putting in the extra effort and paying the extra cost to save them.

The bee rescuer dropped by and said that our bees in the swarm box left due to an infestation of hive beetles. We closed up the swarm box and he will bring by a hollow log and another swarm to try again. The beetles produce a distinctive smell that resembles whiskey.

Yowza. But that procedure is what the docs call the "Hail Mary" pass.

There's two types of ablation: AV Node and Maze Procedure. The downsides of either type include some scary shiit including heart valve damage, irregular heartbeats, slow heartbeat to where a pacemaker is needed, clots in lungs or legs... and about four more problems that slip my mind at the moment.

Ah. Stroke or heart attack or kidney problem. More, but I doan remember.

Learned all this pronto you might imagine. Anyway, it DOES work, and if you are in a corner, you gotta get it done.

I am glad my radical lifestyle change made enabled me to avoid it. Clean living sucks a little in comparison to the Olden Days, but not as bad as not living.

No graves disease. A doctor mentioned ablation yrs ago but said only if it was absolutely necessary. Glad I didn't do it.
Have a friend who had to have two ablations to fix his AFIB. His was a different type of AFIB. He didn't even know he had it untill the doc told him. Think his heart ran fast all the time or something.

A cloudy day with rain today, starting at 49F and predicted to soar to 57F.

I trimmed and jarred my 2023 Train Wreck crop and sampled some in the Volcano. Pleased to find them tasty and effective. I still have some Uni seed Northern Lights from last year but am down to less than a half-gallon.

or beat up or stabbed or used as a *** object or crack up your car or get jealous of other women or carry diseases, or be a dominatrix in training
Yeah, it's tough when a. girl. uses. me. as. a. ***. object. Verrrry difficult.
One might say "hard".
But I'm a "take one for the team" kind of guy in such a case(s). 🤪
