No problem Boss I screen anything dirty for you LOLI worked at car dealerships all my life. And I know exactly how the system works. But before I chime in you have to go through my Associate.....ASK ROSTER!
Oh Thats right were you not a service manager?I worked at car dealerships all my life. And I know exactly how the system works. But before I chime in you have to go through my Associate.....ASK ROSTER!
Nah. Gabby customers were pretty easy to deal with, actually. My 'bedside manner' was more akin to "OK, Mr Customer. We've discussed your car, its symptoms, and the possibilities. If you want me to fix it, get outta my service bay/shop. I'll keep you updated. Is this your phone number? See ya'."I understand ,BUT Some times you cant talk a hour to a customer who likes to talk.
Even as his brother ,I would not visit him or bring him or his son lunch .
they were busy.
I always came in at the end of the day and he would stay late and we would bololschit.
I agree with you ,but after you're done explaining and Im done asking .
Go home ,get home with out me !

I have very few filters.

Oh, I guess I've settled down a little...But Im sure you have changed a lot
GM, or owner?I just know the system. I don't even know how to change a spark plug.

BothGM, or owner?
I can't "diss" service managers or ticket writers. Those are high stress jobs I never had any desire to do, which is maybe why you hired and fired a bunch of them.I just know the system. I don't even know how to change a spark plug.

My buddy would go to trade schools BOCES to hire students who showed promise.I worked at car dealerships all my life. And I know exactly how the system works. But before I chime in you have to go through my Associate.....ASK ROSTER!
ExactlyMy buddy would go to trade schools BOCES to hire students who showed promise.
Seemed like the dealers had the line on good students and they were none left worth while
One of our hires went through school twice before they finally just threw an AA in auto tech at him to finally get him out the door. There are a lot of smart guys fixing cars, but it's difficult, dirty, hot, heavy, often taxing work - and too many folks seem to not want to WORK. It's the same in all the trades. Plumbing ain't real easy either. Or carpentry. My buddy would go to trade schools BOCES to hire students who showed promise.

She could be my 'Beer Wench'! I'd have to sew her pants up, though. That would mean she'd have to give them to me.not a service writer here but I have been involved in the recruiting and hiring process

Today people have no work ethic..... especially millennials! That's at least part of why there's a nationwide shortage of skilled/trades people today.
