Good morning brothers and sisters!

Mostly cloudy today starting at 57F and predicted to reach 76F.

I whomped up a big batch of fried green tomatoes yesterday using Tony Chacheres fish fry for a coating, which were good, but didn't like it any more than my corn meal and breadcrumbs recipe.

Hah! In the interim, I wuz talkin' over the fence with my neighbor's handyman. He'd just shown up and his boss wasn't ready to leave yet. We got gumpin' and there was a leaf and I had a pen.

"I can have you thinking in Mandarin in less than two minutes." <-- He looked at me like I was from Mars. Game on!

I told him the name -- in Mandarin -- of the American leaf and had him repeat it. Showed him the French pen and had him repeat the Mandarin word for it after me.

Switched hands, held up the "French pen", and the dreadlocks bedecked handyman said, "Fagwo bi".

I smiled and said, "YOU were just thinking in Mandarin, weren't you! That was a Fagwo bi, NOT a French pen!!"

He was absolutely delighted. And amazed. He said, "My God! It WAS a Fagwo bi!!"

Like we useta say: There It Is.

Have a Brother who owned a repair shop and he just retired.
Now I need to get inspections like a civilian
Years I went !

Im no motor head and to have a most capable Brother who was a mechanic ,air force ,very smart explain and general bs about the cluster fock known as cars. I generally know some of the ins and outs and folks dont realize the major expense just to open your doors .Rent ,commericial ins ,liab ins .computer for automotive ,to the new stuff for new cars every day.He was the best ,honest and becasuse of that and no help would have worked him self to death.
He has heard "I saw this on the you tube a million times.
Or
On lift ,all apart ,wrong part ,cant get part ,maybe tomorrow.
Maybe if you were a dealer mechanic and maybe dealing with cars serviced by dealers not cave men it would be easier

I've found that the important part with audio for me is staying awake and of course the not getting distracted part while awake.

In other words what i measn as a mechanic its not easy with different makes and models and bad engineering.
Much less working on a car that was worked on before by some one who is nt that good.
I think with a repair shop you see and do almost everything.Some old and some butchered.
Where I would think cars brought into dealers are newer ,mantained,legit parts .
I thought you owned a shop.
