That's no doubt spot on. First thing I thought of as to the origin of the buzzer.

When we were kids at Jones Beach, we'd watch the seagulls dropping clams onto the paved parking lot so they'd bust open and the goodies would be available for their lunch. They'd pick them up at the surfline and get them open by dropping them from about 100' up.

This caused some amusement for us -- although the seagulls generally used the empty lots, sometimes they would drop the clams and hit parked cars. I found an old (1935) NYTimes newspaper article that reported folks getting gull-bombed by clams on Atlantic Beach. Screwed up traffic.

Oh. Take (*ahem*) note where Atlantic Beach is. Clams. Available on the surf line to gulls and kids.

Just sayin'...
Notice the word SKIMMER CLAM not a hardshell clam found in the bays

Except if one does two minutes of research, one could watch a seagull drop a clammity-clam clam (as well as skimmers) on pavement. Multiple times.

But... they do it all over. Rather than watch four minutes of the seagull dropping a quahog over and over again, just start at the 1 min 40 sec mark. Before your eyes can turn away, the camera moves in and looks at the busted...

...YOU call it. Clam? Really?

And had you taken the time to skim the above cited newspaper which nailed the beach and location -- you would have HAD to read (and instantly forget) what it said. To lock this for the last time -- your ignorance does not t.rump reality. READ WJAT WAS POSTED ALREADY ABOVE:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Seagulls dropping skimmers and clams upon the concrete and steel base of the Atlantic Beach Bridge between Lawrence and Atlantic Beach during the last week have been causing motorists many frights, it was revealed yesterday."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now watch the video at the specific seconds listed above to help you finally see and understand the things DO go on in this world that you have not yet seen. 1m40s

Tell us all what you see laying broken open and eaten by that seagull.

1. Your ignorance on this subject is not tolerated for reasons previously spoken. <-- Your incorrect statements eqate my published works to be lies. Intentional ignorance is now the only kind you can profess considering the newspapers and video shown.

2. TELL us you have now seen a seagull break open these:

Only larger. You have seen it done, now... right? And you have read the newspaper... right?

Good. I am glad we are in complete agreement, and you now realize that when I told folks here about the seagulls at Jones Beach dropping real clams on the parking lots (and occasional cars) is also NOT a lie.

I have proven my statements with data and pictures. You have done zero except eyes wide shut. Which again, is calling me a liar.

Mods, this is to get straightened out this time, and I mean really straighted out, chain shortened, truth -- not blind opinion -- required. I will not tolerate an ignorant liar.

Yep they get clams from the ocean side called skimmers (bait clams) and Hardshell clams that they are seen dropping are from the bay side.

Yes, they do that too.

Of course, O All-knowing One, that is not what is being discussed, and I will not let you change the subject:

You are not permitted to hide. You KNOW you have just been shown a seagull breaking and eating a clam by dropping it.

Damn. Hard to shake the fact that everyone here knows you have seen it, but cannot admit it. The skimmers and CLAMS noted in the newspaper came from the beach you know about. Same oceanfront as all the way to Montauk where you first got your pecker burnt because your pride will not allow you to LEARN something you did not know before.

There were hardshell clams on Jones Beach, and out at Montauk, and in at Atlantic Beach. Seagulls got them and dropped them.

You can find references proving the above in Unca Walt's writings. And in newspaper articles. And in videos.

You have nothing but your unknowing ERRONEOUS opinion.

Fk the goddamn Clams. It's not worth arguing over. Who gives a shit. Walt posted something about clams. I'm pretty sure he wasn't looking for an argument. Why the fk can't it just be let go.
Who gives a shit where the mother fkers came from. What's the fking point trying to prove where the freaking clams came from. Maybe the mother fkers moved due to climate change.
Last time this fking happened ppl got their feelings hurt,,so why the fk go there again. We are all friends here. Let's keep it that way and move on.😡
Big are those mother fkers Round or Flat?😁

* Humble opinion* lol... I've striper fished most of east Tennessee with serious trophy guides in ultra secret places and all that blah blah...

The water quality and biodiversity is worth writing home about. So is the trout fishing on the Watauga and South Holston rivers....

There's good water up here where I live... But it all flows down that way except for the New river.
