Here's a HOLYSHIT story -- just happened in Texas:

Rattlesnake fell out of the sky, wrapped around lady's arm, started striking her face. She could not dislodge it from her arm. She yells "Help me, Jesus!"

Walt I saw a snake fall from the sky once on the Sub base. the birds occasionally drop them from way up high in the parking lot at the admin building I think to kill/stun them…

fishing was your job eh……hmmmmm , pro bass or a guide?….just curious
I used to guide for big fish (Mostly striped bass and catfish.). Also did commercial bait fishing as well.

We used to deliver live shad across the southeast... Used big boats, big shad holding tanks, and custom built trailers to capture them in the wild and transport them to customers in order boost the biodiversity and health of fish in their private lakes and ponds. Met folks like Jeff Foxworthy and Luke Bryan during my time with that company.

Safe to say I'm pretty skilled with a 10' cast net.😤

These days I do a lot of hiking to remote areas for trout fishing 🥰🥰.

You'd love the Lake of the Clouds in the Porcupine Mountains in the UP of Michigan. You've got to hike in 10 miles to get to it, and I've been told there are some epic sized fish in it. We were too busy rappelling down the cliffs. We camped on the edge of the escarpment trail during a full moon. Looking out on the horizon, you'd swear there were two moons with it reflecting off the lake in the distance.

I am dragging ass today and have lots to do. Combination of spicy food last night, arthritis in the hand I had surgery on recently snd a bad back has the making of a bad day.

Hash.... don't forget to PUTEMBK! I do!
I don't do trophy catch and kill...too easy to measure a fish accurately and get good pics for a replica instead of a mount. The replicas last longer, too.

Those big fish are often used by the dept of natural resources to for stocking programs to further the species and for breeding. Gotta let the strong survive to pass on those genetics 😁
