we have a small garlic cooker and goes in the oven and when it comes out , the garlic spreads like butter

we have one raised garlic bed about 6’ x 8’ and it was planted last fall after the first frost
so hopefully we will have a few pounds by 4th of July

finally drying up around here enough so that a full bathtub bath isn’t required for my Maryjane every time she comes in from the backyard. Wow those fuzzy feet are like black mops when she’s standing at the door after doing the puppy chase game for a while with her friend Oreo on my neighbors fence line.
(I could use the cleaning ladies myself this morning..)
we are also offloading a lot of stuff useful to others but retired from our life anymore to make more floor space for fun projects.

hope everyone has a nice day planned. My plan is to wash glass doors windows and mirrors today.

In my house where I grew up if we had garlic and oil we had pasta ali oio
We grew it couple of years ago with moderate success (170 cloves planted)
End of last year we bought 50 heads of garlic to plant in the fall .
We had good intentions but who knows what happened .
I have been happily working my way thru them .
May make enough soup using double the garlic, and get a run of 8 qts, then can said soup.
If we dont use it it will go bad.

My whole house smells like garlic at least three days a week. It’s a regular staple around here. I use it in most meals as we love it. One head of garlic can make a delicious meal around here. We love roasted garlic on a good piece of bread with Brie and caramelized onions and peppers.

Yes we have one too made of clay or something that will hold three large heads. It gets used up almost immediately when it come out of the oven. I season it with butter and salt and pepper before I put it in the oven. You’re right spreads like butter

I’ve never been offended my the smell of garlic and onions in my house. I love the smell. I remember my momma use to spray the hose with some kind of rose smelling spray after she made garlic. It was crazy smelling to me. I hate perfume cover up sprays.

Morning. @bigsur51 ....got about 5" and coming down hard. My next door my next door neighbors furnace failed yesterday and won't get a new one until Thursday....using a gas fireplace and plug in heaters....hope they are ok. They can keep a couple rooms warm but he is gonna have trouble keeping his pipes from freezing. I gave him 2 heaters.

i can see where one could be confused with my post

Been looking at my neighbor's house...even texted.... nothing. Hope the didn't freeze. His mother in law lives with them.....she is 101 years old. Should have taken her to a hotel.

Supposed to meet with my tax accountant today.... should be fun.
