if i plan on starting 12 seedlings inside b4 i move them outside guerrilla style how early can i start. i plan on planting outside in may, i was thinking to start like 2 months before but my buddy is starting his seeds now which would be 5 months before
is it worth starting this early

I start my seeds for OD at the end of Feb beginning of March if putting out in May. Should be able to tell in 8 weeks the sex, then only plant females OD

feb if from seeds...be sure to harden them off before moving outdoors full time

Hardening? You have to paint them very carefully with a special hardening solution to make the stems rigid enough to stand up to the wind!

No not really. What you do is to start bringing them outside a little at first, then for longer periods of time, to get them used to outdoor conditions.

The more time, the better

Applies true also for seedlings and also for clones.

Since I am now licensed grower, I am now planning my year-round grow schedule, and calculate it is best to start early, expect the worst, yet do your best, and start asap indoors. My clones are taking forever in this winter slowdown. At least one month to live, and one month to start thriving again as new plant.

I am planning my first "legal" purchase. Looking at the DP varieties. One day I would like to try the Champagne of Varieties the SensiSeeds Jack Herer.

I start preparing the site for the grow now. 1 bag or 2 of soil addmenment(sp?) in "deer feed bags" this can be sand, nutes, compost, anything you add to your soils. By preparing now you give all the nutes time to break down into plant usable levels that won't cause nute burns.

In the last of Jan first of Feb start seeds or take clones for outdoors. 1 mnth later last of Feb First of March start setting out in the sun when the day has warmed up in the afternoon setting out earlier every couple days for a month or so til you know the last frost has happened.

Good point Ozzy...I to find my spots in the fall and amend the soil, for the spring planting. Although I have pretty much givin up on outdoor growing since I started the indoor thing...I had gotten sick of loosing so many plants out there to the cops, and theives. I am thinking about running out a few clones this fall, for old times sake....and you have to love the smoke grown outside in mother nature...the way god intended it!
