@Hippie420 true that. I pump out all my water from the res into 5 gallon buckets for dumping. Then put the pump into 1 of the buckets to get out all i can that way. Then lastly use the shop vac to get what's left. Whole process is done in less than 1 hour start to finish.

I had four 18 quart storage containers that I put two eight inch holes in each and connected them with 3/4" hose from tank to tank and then my res. I noticed one day that the res was really low, so I added a few gallons. Still low. Looked into the grow room only to find an inch of standing water. Tank #2 had a ball of roots that plugged the hose. I paid a little closer attention from then on.
